British Museum

 Il British Museum è favoloso come dicono. Il problema è che è enorme e pieno zeppo di gente (che tocca le opere! Orrore e scandalo O_O), il che rende la visita davvero faticosa. Noi fra una cosa e l'altra non siamo riusciti a finire di vederlo.

Ovviamente ci siamo lanciati subito nella famosissima parte egiziana, ma ammetto che non mi ha entusiasmato come speravo. Decisamente meglio il museo egizio di Torino.

Anche il Partenone mi ha lasciato un po'fredda, ma probabilmente è anche che sono un po'stufa dell'arte classica greca e romana.

British Museum is fabulous as people say. The problem is that it is huge and full of people (that touches the expositions! Horror and scandal O_O), which makes the visit very difficult. We didn't manage to finish seeing it.
Of course we immediately went to see the famous Egyptian exposition, but I admit that I wasn't impressed as I hoped. The Egyptian Museum of Turin is definitely better.
The Parthenon didn't fill me with enthusiasm too, but probably it's because I'm a bit fed up with classical Greek and Roman art.

 Invece a sorpresa abbiamo adorato la parte assira, incantati dai dettagli dei bellissimi bassorilievi e dalle sfingi *W*

Instead, surprisingly, we totally loved the Assyrian exposition, and we were enchanted by the details of the stunning low reliefs and by the sfinx.

  Anche la parte sumera e babilonese era favolosa! Abbiamo scoperto che i sumeri mettevano davvero quei ridicoli elmetti!

And the sumeric and babylonian part was awesome too! We discovered that sumers did really use that ridiculus helmet!

 

 E c'erano strumenti musicali conservati benissimo! Chissà che musica suonavano...

And there was really well preserved musical instruments! I wonder what kind of music did they play...

 Guardate che bei gioielli! E ci sono pure delle pinzette: già ci si faceva le sopracciglia...

And look at the stunning jewelry! And there were tweezers too: they already used to touch up theyr eyebrows...

 Sono rimasta anche impressionata dal fatto che questo antichissimo gioco sia sopravvissuto fino ad oggi (per 4000 anni se non di più!) in una sperduta comunità ebraica.

I was really impressed by this incredibly ancient game that survived unitl now in a remote Jewish community (for 4000 years or more!)

E di passaggio nell'ala cinese mi sono innamorata di questo bellissimo piatto con cerbiatto! Molto mori!

And passing by the chinese area I fell in love with this beautiful plate with a deer! Very mori!
