Il mio shopping di Febbraio/My February Shopping

Febbraio è stato un mese di shopping pazzo, pazzissimo, un vero e proprio ritorno della scimmia.

Tutto è cominciato al Lidl, quando ho trovato una serie di prodotti da bagno mai visti e ho comprato dei sali da bagno ai fiori di ciliegio e rosa (2€ circa, non sanno molto né di rosa né di ciliegio e non mi sono parsi granché) e un favoloso burro corpo al cocco (5€) che se ritrovassi ricomprerei sicuramente (mi piacerebbe provare la versione cacao).

February was a month of crazy shopping, real crazy, like going back to be a junkie.

It all started at Lidl, when I found a series of bath products I never saw before and I bought cherry blossoms and rose bath salts (about 2€, the scent is not much of rose or cherry blossoms and I didn't like them particularly) and a fabulous coconut body butter (5€) that I would certainly buy again if I find it another time (I would like to try the cocoa version).

Poi mi sono trovata alla Stazione Centrale di Milano con del tempo da buttare e sono entrata da Tally Weijl dove ho preso un paio di regali di compleanno e in un folle raptus mi sono comprata un maglione rosa di ciniglia in super sconto (10€) e un mono orecchino luccicante anch'esso in sconto (90 centesimi).

Then I found myself at the Central Station of Milan with some time to throw away and I went to Tally Weijl where I bought a couple of birthday presents and in a crazy raptus I bought myself a pink chenille sweater in super discount (10€) and a shiny single earring, also on sale (90 cents).

Subito dopo sono entrata da Kiko e ho fatto ben di peggio: speravo di trovare in sconto la matita occhi automatica che mi aveva regalato mia cognata e mi era piaciuta tantissimo in un altro colore. Speravo di trovare un verde, ma non c'era e alla fine ho scelto lo 02, un rosa con pagliuzze dorate. Sulla mano sembrava abbastanza scuro, così ho deciso di comprarlo anche se era a prezzo pieno (7€). Non solo al primo utilizzo mi si è staccato un bel pezzo di punta, ma addosso si vede pochissimo e tende a lasciar giù sulle ciglia! Alla fine ho deciso di usarla come ombretto e in questo modo non mi dispiace, ma sono molto molto delusa dallo scarso rapporto qualità prezzo perché invece la 04 è meravigliosa.

Immediately after, I went to Kiko and I did worse: I was hoping to find on sale in another color the automatic eye pencil that my sister-in-law had given me on Xmas and that I liked very much. I was hoping to find a green one, but I didn't and in the end I chose the 02, a pink with golden specks. On my hand it looked quite dark, so I decided to buy it even if it was at full price (7€). Not only when I used it for the first time the tip broke, but I the colour isn't so visible on my lids and tends to stain the lashes! In the end I decided to use it as an eyeshadow and in this way it's quite nice, but I'm very very disappointed for the quality/price ratio because the 04 is wonderful.

Questo mese sono anche andata due volte al mercato e ho fatto follie. Ho comprato un paio di pantaloni a vita alta a piccola fantasia pie de poule che mi piacciono tantissimo (2€, ovviamente ho dovuto accorciarli), un maglione caldissimo 100% lana con un orso polare (5€), come se non avessi due miliardi di maglioni, un paio di calzamaglie ottanio (2€), un cappottino leggero verde smeraldo (10€), come se non fossi piena di cappotti, e un vestito in vellutino beige con una stampa meravigliosa a piante, passerotti e cervi e perfino le tasche (5€).

This month I also went twice to the market and did crazy purcases. I bought a pair of high-waisted trousers with little pie de poule pattern that I like very much (2€, of course I had to shorten them), a very warm 100% wool sweater with a polar bear (5€), as if I didn't have two billions of sweaters, a pair of teal tights (2€), a light emerald green coat (10€), as if I were not already full of coats, and a beige velvet dress with a wonderful print of plants, sparrows and deers that even has pockets (5€).

Per finire sono passata da Tiger a ricomprare il montalatte (4€) che mi è caduto nel lavandino e non si è più ripreso e ho finito per comprare gli ennesimi pseudo-pantoni, stavolta sui toni del giallo (3€).

Finally I went to Tiger to buy a milk whipper (4€) again as I let mine fell into the sink and it broke, and I ended up buying yet another pseudo-pantone set, this time in shades of yellow (€ 3).

Retro and fitness: my january shopping

Nonostante sia periodo di saldi, non ho ancora comprato niente in sconto. In compenso ho fatto qualche altro acquisto a prezzo pieno. Al mercato di via Ampere, in tre diverse occasioni, ma sempre nella stessa bancarella, ho comprato un cardigan verde (5€), una gonna verde (10€) e una color senape (10€).

Despite it's sales time, I have not yet bought anything discounted. On the other hand I made some other full priced purchases. At the Ampere street market, on three different occasions, but at the same stall, I bought a green cardigan (5€), a green skirt (10€) and a mustard one (10€).

Le mie scarpe da ginnastica sono esplose, così sono andata da Decathlon e ne ho trovato un nuovo paio carino a 10€. Ne ho approfittato per comprare anche una corda per saltare (6€) e una maglietta termica bianca (meno di 4€).

My sneakers exploded, so I went to Decathlon and I found a new nice pair for 10€. I took the opportunity to buy a jump rope (6€) and a white thermal shirt (less than 4€).

Ho anche avuto un cardigan grigio luccicante e una borsa portadocumenti in pelle di Laura Biagiotti che erano di mia nonna.

I also got a shiny gray cardigan and a leather briefcase by Laura Biagiotti that belonged to my grandmother.

Ricordi/Memories

 Di recente ho avuto un po' di cose di mia nonna (per la serie vintage autentico). Ho preso un cappotto carinissimo e un impermeabile giallino (che non so come lavare, consigli?).

I recently got some of my grandma's stuff (for the series authentic vintage). I took a cute coat and a yellow raincoat (which I do not know how to wash, have you got some piece of advice?).

Ho preso anche una giacca che mi ricordava un po' lo stile Chanel di una volta.

I also took a jacket that reminded me a bit of the old Chanel style.

Il colpo migliore sono stati i maglioni, che, oltre a essere molto carini, sono di ottime fibre, tre 100% lana e uno di cachemire.

The best thing were the sweaters, which, besides being very nice, are made of excellent fibers, three 100% wool and a cashmere one.

Ho avuto anche tantissime camicie, tutte bianche, ma con colletti particolari, bei bottoni o ricami (ce n'è perfino una a righine con un ricamo a paperelle sul davanti).

I also got a lot of shirts, all white, but with nice collars, pretty buttons or embroidery (there's even a striped one with ducks embroidery on the front).

La cosa che mi è piaciuta di più è stata una maglietta di Fiorucci della serie "Il Piccolo Principe".

The thing I liked the most was a Fiorucci t-shirt of the "The Little Prince" series.

Ho anche avuto una gonna che mi va un po' stretta, ma è di velluto con un bel motivo a uva e foglie.

I also got a skirt that is a little tight, but it is made of velvet with a nice pattern of grapes and leaves.

Non vado matta per i mocassini, ma ho finito per prendere anche questi.

I'm not a fan of moccasins, but I ended up taking these too.

Ho scelto due borse, una tote ricamata ad orsetti e una in pelle scamosciata marrone.

I chose two bags, a tote embroidered with teddy bears and a brown suede one.

Ho avuto due spille d'ambra, un portamonete luccicante e due foulard in seta pacchiani, uno con la Tour Eiffel e uno a motivi africaneggianti.

I got two amber brooches, a shimmering purse and two flashy silk scarves, one with the Eiffel Tower and one with African-style motifs.

Per la prima volta sono entrata in possesso di un profumo firmato, "Dolce Vita" di Dior, e ho voluto anche un libro fantasy che mi aveva prestato tanto tempo fa.

For the first time I came into possession of a brand perfume, "Dolce Vita" by Dior, and I also wanted a fantasy book that my granny lent me a long time ago.

Ho anche avuto una lampada da tavolo arancione bellissima che ricorda un po' il simbolo della Pixar.

I also got a beautiful orange table lamp that is somewhat similar to the Pixar's symbol.

Shopping e wishlist d'autunno/Autumn shopping & wishlist

Questo mese ho fatto un po' più di shopping dei precedenti, calcolando anche le compere di Lucca Comics. In realtà avrei un sacco di voglia di fare acquisti, ma (forse per fortuna) ho pochissimo tempo.

A fine ottobre sono andata alla mostra su Kuniyoshi ospitata qui a Milano, che era molto bella (anche se le didascalie non erano esaustive). Al bookshop non c'erano tutte le cartoline delle opere che mi sono piaciute di più, ma ne ho comprate comunque 3 a 3€ l'una.

This month I did a bit more shopping than the previous ones, also counting the purchases of Lucca Comics. In fact, I had a lot of shopping craves, but (maybe fortunately) I had very little time to satisfy them.

At the end of October I went to the Kuniyoshi exhibition here in Milan, which was very nice (although the captions were not exhaustive). At the bookshop there were not all the postcards of the works I liked most, but I still bought 3 for 3 euros each.

Ho fatto un giretto al mercato di Papiniano pensando di comprare chissà che e alla fine ho preso solo un maglione, che però è stato un affare, 100% lana, giallo a trecce, probabilmente usato (aveva un cartellino che diceva "Reuse Style").

I went to the market of Papiniano thinking of buying who knows what and in the end I just took a sweater, but it was a bargain, 100% wool, yellow, cable knit, probably used (it had a label saying "Reuse Style") .

Visto che la mia giratempo di Alchemian si era rotta, ho deciso di comprarne un'altra. Più di un mese fa ho ordinato una nuova giratempo e un ciondolo con il simbolo degli Deathly Hallows da Shalallah London, su Amazon a 5,58€. Credo però che qualcuno abbia fatto pasticci alla portineria del lavoro della Pelosa Metà dove avevo fatto arrivare il pacchetto perché dalle poste risultava consegnato da un sacco, ma loro dichiaravano di non averle mai ricevute, per cui ormai le davo per perse.

La giratempo è più grossa di quanto prevedessi, che a seconda dei punti di vista è un bene o un male. In generale la qualità mi è parsa abbastanza buona, per il prezzo ottima.

Since my Alchemian timeturner had broken, I decided to buy another one. More than a month ago I ordered a new one and a pendant with the Deathly Hallows symbol from Shalallah London, on Amazon for 5,58 €. But I think somebody did a mess at the Hairy Half 's reception where the parcel was sent, because the postal service said the items arrived long ago, but they said they never received it, so I tought they were lost.

The timeturner is bigger than expected, which, depending on the points of view can be good or bad. Overall, the quality seemed pretty good, in particular considering the great price.

Sabato scorso sono andata a Pandino e mi sono imbattuta nel mercato. Lì, per non so che colpo di fortuna ho trovato delle favolose (ha ha) calzamaglie di Cappuccetto Rosso, con un motivo con lupo, casetta, Cappuccetto e alberi, Le avevo viste un paio di anni fa su un sito di moda giapponese senza alcuna speranza di averle mai.

A quel punto le ho prese sia nere sia grigie.

Last Saturday I went to Pandino and I came across the market. There, I had a lucky shot and I found fabulous (ha ha) Little Red Riding Hood tights, with a pattern of wolf, cabin, Little Red and trees, I saw the same thights a couple of years ago on a Japanese fashion site without any hope to ever have them.

At that point I took them in both black and gray.

Ho anche preso i collant neri velati di cui avevo bisogno e non ho resistito a dei calzettoni termici con l'interno morbidissimo e il disegno di un gatto con un cappellino da party.

Ho pagato tutte le calze a 3€ al paio.

I also bought the black tights I needed and I couldn't resist thermal socks with a soft lining and a cat with a party cap on the outside.

I paid all the socks 3€ per pair.

Per 5€ ho anche preso un paio di pantofole color menta non bellissime, ma molto comode, visto che le mie si erano rotte.

For 5 € I also took a pair of not so beautiful, but very comfortable slippers, since mine were broken.

Vista la mia voglia di compere mi sono fatta una wishlist. La cosa che vorrei di più è una maxisciarpa di quelle che vanno ora in cui avvoltolarmi, magari scozzese. Vorrei anche ricomprare le goccine asciuga smalto della Essence perché per via dei tempi lunghi di asciugatura non mi sto più mettendo lo smalto. Vorrei anche un temperamatite specifico per trucchi perché quelli normali mi rovinano le matite. E queste sono le cose più o meno utili che mi piacerebbero.

Il resto deriva dal troppo tempo passato su internet (più che altro instagram) a seguire persone stilose come A clothes horse, Miss Information, @jerianie, @agardeninsideme. Vorrei una cartella a tracolla in pelle (o finta pelle), un cardigan verde, un maglione a ciniglia, una gonna gialla e un cappotto giallo o un montgomery (il meglio sarebbe un montgomery giallo). Mi piacciono molto anche i tessuti come tweed e principe di Galles. E naturalmente le novelty prints, novelty prints a palate!

As I have mad shopping craves I made a wish list. The thing I would like most is a maxi scarf like those trending now, maybe plaid. I would also like to buy again Essence polish drier nail drops as, because of the long drying times, I no longer paint my nails. I would also like a specific make up pencil-sharpener because normal ones ruin my make up pencils. And these are the more or less the useful things I would like.

The rest comes from too much time spent on the internet (in particular instagram) following stylish people like A clothes horse, Miss Information, @jerianie, @agardeninsideme. I would like a leather (or fake leather) satchel, a green cardigan, a chenille sweater, a yellow skirt and a yellow coat or a montgomery (the best would be a yellow montgomery). I also like fabrics like tweed and Prince of Wales. And of course novelty prints, a ton of novelty prints!

New old clothes, beauty care and Asian food

Qualche tempo fa ho visto che una mia conoscente aveva dei vestiti da dar via, così le ho parlato degli swap party e lei mi ha dato tutto il sacchetto! Ho tenuto due capi molto mori, un maglione  di Twin Set (che è una marca su cui ho sempre sbavato e che non mi sono mai potuta permettere) e una gonna corta di pizzo marrone a due strati. In più ho preso un top trasparente di pizzo a fiori rosso della Replay, sperando di metterlo (se no finirà nel prossimo swap).

Some time ago I saw that an acquaintance of mine wanted to give away some clothes, so I told her about swap partied and she gave me the whole bag! I kept two very mori garments, a Twin Set sweater (which is a brand I've always drooled on and I could never afford) and a short brown lace two-layered skirt. In addition I took a transparent red lace top by Replay, hoping to wear it (if not it will end up in the next swap).

Nonostante stia cercando di darmi una regolata, ho anche fatto qualche acquisto: al Lidl ho preso uno shampoo più balsamo con filtro U.V.A. della Cien, in edizione limitata per l'estate, che dovrebbe servire soprattutto a prevenire i danni causati dal sole ai capelli, ma anche contro sabbia e salsedine. Della stessa linea c'erano altri prodotti per capelli, fra cui un olio e una crema. L'ho pagato meno di 2€. Ad un prezzo simile ho preso una busta monodose di fango per il corpo contro gli inestetismi della cellulite. Era della Italian Gringo, una marca che trovo un po' buffa. Il fango era verde, con un odore gradevole, e dava una sensazione di freschezza come se contenesse menta. Andava tenuto circa mezz'ora, che ho passato a leggere nella vasca da bagno. Alla fine il fango tirava come se si fosse ristretto e quando l'ho tolto la mia pelle si era arrossata, ma erano tutti effetti segnalati sulla confezione come parte della normale azione del prodotto. Il rossore è passato in circa una mezz'ora. Mi sembra che la situazione cellulite sia un pelino migliorata, ma non capisco mai se sia realtà o effetto placebo (infatti sono pessima a fare queste recensioni).

Visto che il mio sta finendo ho comprato un nuovo mascara della Essence, il volume stylist che dovrebbe durare 18 ore e che contiene fibre che danno un effetto allungante alle ciglia. Per ora direi che mantiene tutte le promesse, per cui sono molto soddisfatta.

Despite trying to restrain myself, I also made some purchases: at Lidl I bought a shampoo and conditioner with a U.V.A. filter by Cien, in limited edition for this summer, which should primarily serve to prevent the damage caused by the sun to the hair, but also by sand and salt. Of the same line there were other hair products, including an oil and a cream. I paid less than 2€. At a similar price I took a one use mud bag against cellulite. It was by Italian Gringo, a brand I find a bit funny. The mud was green, with a pleasant smell, and it gave a feeling of freshness as if it contained mint. I had to let it work about half an hour, which I spent reading in the bathtub. In the end the mud pulled as if it was tight and when I removed it my skin it was red, but these effects were reported on the packaging as part of the normal action of the product. The redness passed in about half an hour. It seems to me that my cellulite situation improved a bit, but I do not understand whether it is a reality or a placebo effect (in fact I'm terrible at these reviews).

Since my old one is finished, I bought a new mascara by Essence, stylist volume that should last 18 hours and contains fibers that give a lenghtening effect to the lashes.

For now I would say that it keeps all the promises, so I'm very happy.

Ho anche scoperto un nuovo negozio di alimentari e oggettistica orientale giapponese, tailandese, cinese e coreana: lo Zen Market in Via Fezzan 4. Ha aperto nel 2008 e offre moltissimi prodotti, di cui alcuni difficili da trovare. E' anche il primo negozio di alimentari orientali che ha aperto on line in Italia (ma per il momento i prodotti online costano molto più di quelli in negozio).

Ho comprato il dashi che è difficilissimo da trovare in giro, gli spaghetti di konjac (a soli 1,5€!), i funghi shiitake secchi, i somen (pasta estiva giapponese) e noodles giapponesi al tè verde con l'apposita salsa (che pare sia identica a quella dei somen, quindi due piccioni con una fava) e degli snack di riso giapponese.

Invece ho rinunciato alle patatine di alghe coreane perché ogni pacco costava 1€ in più che da Kathay.

Ho fatto la carta di fedeltà (ogni euro speso corrisponde ad un punto e ogni 100 punti si ottiene uno sconto di 5€) e il gentilissimo proprietario mi ha dato in omaggio dei noodles istantanei al pollo.

Il sito ufficiale è molto ben fatto, con video corsi, ricette e curiosità.

I also discovered a new Oriental (Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Korean) food store: Zen Market in Via Fezzan 4. It opened in 2008 and offers a lot of products, some of which are difficult to find. It is also the first Oriental food store that started to sell online in Italy (but at the moment the online products cost far more than the ones in the store).

I bought dashi which is hard to find around, konjac spaghetti (for only 1,5 €!), dried shiitake mushrooms, somen (japanese summer pasta) and korean green tea noodles with their special sauce (which seems to be identical to that of somen, therefore I killed two pigeons with one stone) and japanese rice snacks.

Instead I gave up Korean seaweed chips because each pack costed 1€ more than at other supermarkets.

I asked for the loyalty card (every euro spent is one point and every 100 points you get a 5€ discount) and the gentle owner gave me free chicken instant noodles.

The official website is very well done, with video courses, recipes and curiosities.

Mercati liguri, dinosauri e altre follie/Markets in Liguria, dinosaurs and other follies

Mi sa che sto sfogando il lo stress per la preparazione del matrimonio attraverso lo shopping, perché ultimamente ne faccio davvero troppo.

Sotto Pasqua ho passato qualche giorno al mare in Liguria con la mia famiglia e ho fatto acquisti al mercato. Mi piacciono moltissimo le scarpe a coda di rondine e, avendole trovate a 10€ al paio, ne ho prese ben due paia, uno nero più tradizionale e uno bicolore bianco e azzurro con un elastico fissato da bottoncini dorati.

I think I'm venting the stress for the preparation of my wedding through shopping, because lately I buy too much stuff.

Around Easter I spent a few days at the seaside in Liguria with my family and I went shopping at the market. I really like wing tip shoes and, finding them for 10€ per pair, I took two pairs, a more traditional black one and a white and blue two-tone one with an elastic band fastened with gold buttons.

Finalmente sono riuscita a trovare un coprispalle per il matrimonio. Questo è semplice (che già sarò piena di pizzi), morbido e sembra anche caldo. E' costato 10€.

I finally managed to find a shrug for the wedding. It is simple (as I will be already full of lace), soft and seems warm. It costed 10€.

Infine, visto che sono una persona adulta e matura, ho preso un pigiama con la maglietta ad orsetto e i pantaloni e la tasca stampati ad orsetti.

Finally, since I'm an adult and mature person, I took a pajama with a teddy bear shirt and teddy print pants and pocket.

Mia madre invece ha preso una pentola talmente geniale che DEVO mostrarvela: è una specie di filtro del tè gigante e permette di scolare il riso comodamente, ma anche di cuocere insieme pasta e riso o due tipi di pasta o di riso diversi nella stessa pentola.

My mother took a pot so brilliant that I MUST show it: it is a kind of giant tea strainer and allows to cook rice comfortably, but also to cook rice with pasta or two different kinds of pasta or rice in the same pot.

Al mercato di via Valvassori Peroni ho fatto una follia e ho comprato usato a 4€ un vestito di H&M Conscious con una stampa tropicale, una frappa in vita e la schiena completamente scoperta (che per me è una cosa complicata, visto che uso sempre il reggiseno). In realtà le pietrone luccicanti lungo le maniche non mi piacciono molto, quindi le staccherò.

At Valvassori Peroni street market on a whim I bought used for 4€ a dress by H&M Conscious with a tropical print, a peplum in the waist and a completely uncovered back (which for me is complicated, as I always use a bra). I don't like much the glittering stones around the armholes, so I'll unsew them.

Anche lo shopping matrimoniale procede: finalmente è arrivata la collana che la Pelosa Metà voleva regalarmi per San Valentino e che voglio mettere per il matrimonio. Alla fine ha chiesto il rimborso al negozio di Etsy che ci teneva in sospeso da mesi e l'ha presa (a molto meno) su Amazon.

E' bellissima!!!

The wedding shopping proceeds too: at last the necklace that the Hairy Half wanted to give me on Valentine's Day and I want to put at the wedding arrived. In the end he asked a refund to the Etsy shop that kept us in suspense for months and bougth it (cheaper) on Amazon.

It's really beautiful !!!

Abbiamo finalmente comprato anche i dinosauri da mettere sulla torta: sono quelli ufficiali dell'ultimo Jurassic Park fatti dalla Lele. Unico problema: prima di comprarli non abbiamo guardato le dimensioni e sono enormi! Ci vorrà una torta robusta...

We finally bought also dinosaurs to put on the cake: they are the official ones of the last Jurassic Park film, made by Lele. We only have a problem: before buying them we didn't search for the size and they are huge! We'll need a strong cake...

Già che si faceva shopping su Amazon e che era in sconto, ne ho approfittato per comprare "French Milk" di Lucy Knisley, un fumetto autobiografico che racconta un mese passato dall'autrice e da sua madre a Parigi in un momento particolare della vita di entrambe (lo recensirò a breve).

As we were already shopping on Amazon and it was on sale, I took the opportunity to buy "French Milk" by Lucy Knisley, an autobiographical comic that about the month the author and her mother passed in Paris at a particular time in the life of both (I'll review it shortly).

Infine non ho resistito alle magliette per bambini 100% cotone a 2€ vendute alla Lidl. Me ne sono comprata una bianca da femmina e una verde polvere da maschio. Ovviamente ho intenzione di stamparle.

Finally I could not resist the 100% cotton kids T-shirts sold at Lidl for 2 € . I bought a white one for girls and a powder green one for boys. Obviously I'm going to print them.
