Cartoomics 2013

Quello di quest'anno è stato un Cartoomics all'insegna della sfiga. In primo e luogo per Acalia di Prevalentemente Anime e Manga e per il suo ragazzo a cui si sono bloccati i tergicristalli in autostrada mentre diluviava (ma mi ha fatto comunque molto piacere riuscire a vederli!!!). Poi per una volta avevo preparato un cosplay, ma mi si è staccata la suola delle mie nuove scarpe preferite prima di uscire e ho dovuto lasciar perdere e cambiarmi al volo, in più ho di nuovo bisogno di scarpe (posterò comunque l'outfit prossimamente).

Per il resto Cartoomics è andato bene, ma mi aspettavo di più, almeno come bancarelle di fumetto (che come dice Acalia vengono sempre più soppiantate da quelle di gadget & co.).

In questo post mega spammone fotografico di oggetti interessanti e dei bravissimi cosplayer, nel prossimo gli acquisti.

The comic fair of this year where marked by bad luck. In the first place for Acalia of Prevalentemente Anime e Manga and her boyfriend who got the wipers aof their car stuck on the highway while raining (but I was still very pleased to be able to see them!). Plus for once I prepared a cosplay, but the soles of my new favorite shoes fell off before going out and I had to let it go and change, plus I still need a new pair of shoes (but I will post the cosplay anyway soon).

For the rest Cartoomics went ok, but I expected more, at least as for the comic stalls (which as Acalia says are increasingly being supplanted by those of gadgets & co.).

Ho fatto altri giri di saldi, con mia madre e con le mie amiche. Mi sono moderata parecchio, in tutto per ora ho speso 20,50€. Però bisogna anche dire che mia madre è stata generosa e che non ho visto (a prezzi a me accessibili) cose veramente entusiasmanti (invece è fantastica la parte dedicata al Piccolo Principe della nuova collezione di Oysho). Vorrei comprare ancora un delle bombette rosa di H&M, se non le hanno vendute tutte, ma soprattutto vorrei fare un giro fra le bancarelle dell'usato per qualche progetto di cucito.

I went sales shopping again, with my mother and with my friends. I was really moderate, as for now I spent  20.50€. But I must admit that my mother was generous and that I haven't seen (at prices accessible to me) really exciting things (instead of the part dedicated to the Little Prince of Oysho's new collection is awesome). I would buy H&M's pink bowler, if they aren't all sold, but most of all I would like to browse used clothing stalls for my sewing project.

Da H&M mia madre mi ha regalato un lucidalabbra al cocco e lime da 1€, coordinato al profumo che avevo preso ai saldi estivi, e delle calzamaglie come le sognavo da un pezzo a 3€ (so già che le distruggerò in zero tempo, ma vabbè)

At H&M's my mother bought me for 1€ a coconut and lime lip gloss, coordinated with the perfume that I bought at the summer sales and the tights as I dreamed of for 3€ (I already know that I will destroy them in zero time, but oh well)

Visto che mi aveva rotto degli stivali, mi ha anche regalato queste meraviglie di Camaieu (in saldo a 15€). Sembrano proprio gli stivaletti di Yuki di Vampire Knights! E sono perfetti per steampunk, mori, natural kei...insomma, per un sacco di stili!

Da Accessorize ho finalmente trovato ad un prezzo accessibile la mitica/odiosa sciarpa fatta di pon pon che è sulla mia wishlist da qualcosa come 3 anni. Per forza, a prezzo pieno costa 34€!!! Invece io l'ho presa a 10€ perchè c'erano dei maxisaldi sulle cose invernali.

At Accessorize's I finally found at an affordable price the mythical/hateful pom-poms scarf which was on my wishlist from something like 3 years. Of course I never bought it until now, at full price it costs 34€! I bought it for 10 € because there were great winter knit sales.

 Da Tally Weijl ho preso questa cintura molto bucolica che avevo già addocchiato. L'ho pagata 5,50€, forse un po'tantino per essere in saldo, ma mi piaceva molto.

Di recente ho finalmente rivisto una mia grande amica che quest'anno sono riuscita a vedere molto poco, Yuuki chan. Per dire quanto poco l'ho vista, vi dico solo che ci siamo scambiate i regali di Natale e dei nostri compleanni (che sono a gennaio) dell'anno scorso ^^'
Mi ha fatto dei regali bellissimi!!! Nel portaetichette con la geisha ho già messo l'abbonamento dei mezzi, così lo porto sempre con me.
Shugo Chara è un manga che avevo già letto in scan e che avevo trovato molto carino, ma forse un po'troppo gggiovane per me, quindi ero incerta se procurarmelo. Sono contentissima di averlo anche perchè i disegni sono molto carini e Amu, la protagonista, si veste punk in maniera troppo figa (anche se va alle elementari!). C'è anche un misterioso violinista gnocco. Insomma, è veramente bello, ma consigliato soprattutto ad un pubblico in età da elementari a primi 2 anni del liceo. Il focus del racconto è trovare la propria vera personalità e avere il coraggio di mostrarla agli altri, un tema pesante, svolto però in maniera leggera tramite l'utilizzo di personaggi magici che rappresentano aspetti della propria personalità e nascono da uova.

I recently met a great friend of mine who I could not see much last year, Yuki Chan. To say how little I saw her, I'll say only that we exchanged gifts for last year's Christmas and our birthdays (which are in January) ^^'
She gave me beautiful gifts! I put my public transportation subscription in the label holder with the geisha, so I always carry with me.
Shugo Chara is a manga that I had already read by scan and which I think is very nice, but perhaps it's target is a little too young for me, so I was uncertain if buy it. I am very happy to have it because the drawings are very nice and Amu, the protagonist, dresses in a cool punk style (although she attends elementary school!). There is also a cool and mysterious violinist. In short, it is a really nice manga, but recommended especially to an audience from elementary to the firtst 2 years of high school. The focus of the story is to find one's true personality and have the courage to show it to others, an important theme, however, developed in a light way through the use of magical characters that represent aspects of their personality and are born from eggs.

Il mio mese preferito del calendario/My favourite month

Approfitto dell'occasione per pubblicare anche il regalo di Natale del mio master di gdr, che mi era arrivato tardi e quindi non avevo mai mostrato. Un calendario di Vampire Knights, uno dei manga che seguo che preferisco!!! Purtroppo utilizza i disegni l'anime e non del fumetto, che sono molto semplificati perchè Matsuri Hino, la mangaka, fa disegni stupendi, molto particolareggiati, che però proprio per quello sono inutilizzabili per un anime. In compenso l'anime è abbastanza fedele al fumetto e ha delle musiche meravigliose. La sigla di apertura delle prime due stagioni è eseguita dal duo On/Off e la sigla finale della prima e seconda stagione nientemeno che da Kanon Wakeshima. Infatti le ho tutte sull'mp3 ^^'

Take this opportunity to also publish the Christmas gift from my RPG Master, which he gave me late and I had never shown. A calendar of Vampire Knights, one of my favorite manga! Unfortunately, it doen't use the drawings of the comic but the onesof the anime, which are much simpler because Matsuri Hino, the mangaka makes beautiful and very detailed drawings, but because of that they are unsuitable for an anime. In return, the anime is quite faithful to the comic and has the wonderful music. The opening theme of the first two seasons is performed by the duo on/off and the ending theme of the first and second season by none other than Kanon Wakeshima. In fact I have them all on my mp3 ^^'


La protagonista è Yuki, una ragazza il cui primo ricordo è di essere stata salvata dalle zanne di un vampiro in una notte di neve quando aveva 5 anni circa. Il suo salvatore è nientemeno che...un altro vampiro! Yuki è stata adottata dal direttore di una prestigiosa scuola privata, l'accademia Cross, che è frequentata di giorno da normali studenti e di notte da affascinanti vampiri, fra cui Kaname, il salvatore di Yuki, in un progetto di convivenza fortemente sostenuto sia dal direttore sia da Kaname, che nella società dei vampiri è un pezzo grosso. Yuki all'inizio del manga frequenta il liceo "umano" dell'accademia. Con lei c'è anche un altro ragazzo salvato da un vampiro, Zero Kyryu, che ha una personalità chiusa e scorbutica, ma è molto affezionato a Yuki. Insieme costituiscono il corpo dei guardian, che ha il compito di sedare possibili tensioni fra umani e vampiri e soprattutto di proteggere gli umani inconsapevoli della natura dei loro compagni notturni. Ma non tutto è quel che sembra e la tranqulla vita scolastica e il fragile equilibrio dei protagonisti saranno sconvolti da sanguinosi avvenimenti.

The main character is Yuki, a girl whose first memory is of being saved from the fangs of a vampire in a snowy night when she was 5 years old or so. His savior is none other than...another vampire! Yuki was adopted by the director of a prestigious private school, Cross Academy, which is frequented by day by normal students and by night by beautiful vampires, including Kaname, Yuki's savior, for a vampire-humans coexinstence project strongly supported by the director and Kaname who is a big shot of the society of vampires. Yuki at the beginning of the manga attends the "human" high school of the academy. With her, there's another guy saved by a vampire, Zero Kyryu, which has a closed and rough personality, but is very fond of Yuki. Together, they constitute the body of the Guardian, which has the task to calm possible tensions between humans and vampires, and especially to protect the humans unaware of the nature of their night companions. But not everything is as it seems and the peace of the school life and the fragile balance of the characters will be ruined by bloody events.


In Italia il manga è edito in tankobon dalla Planet Manga, che ha pubblicato anche i due romanzi tratti dalla serie (perdibili ma carini). Da agosto 2009 Kaze pubblica i dvd dell'anime doppiato in italiano. In più in Italia si trova ogni sorta di merchandising della serie, che purtroppo in genere non è granchè. E'uscito anche almeno un artbook. In Giappone è uscito anche un volume speciale (vedi foto), che non so se uscirà mai in Italia. Io per fortuna in quel periodo ero lì quindi sono riuscita a comprarlo, ma ammetto con vergogna che non ho ancora avuto il coraggio di scartarlo dopo più di 2 anni.

In Italy, the manga is published in tankobon by Planet Manga, which has also published two novels from the series (perdibili but cute). From August 2009 Kaze publishes dvd anime dubbed in Italian. In Italy you can find all sorts of merchandise of the series, which unfortunately is usually quite crappy. It was also edited at least one artbook. Japan has also released a special volume (see photo), and I do not know if it will ever be published in Italy. Luckily at that time I was there so I could buy it, but I admit with shame that I have not had the courage to open it's packaging after more than 2 years.
