Questo romanzo segue uno schema comune a molti altri libri di Murakami: protagonista depresso e un po'sfigato, e un mondo magico che va a sovrapporsi a quello reale (in effetti ci sono significativi parallelismi con Coe). L'elemento più interessante di questo romanzo è che il protagonista viene costretto da un'organizzazione misteriosa a cercare per tutto il Giappone...una pecora. Una pecora che nasconde un mistero che si fa via via più inquietante.
A me è piaciuto, ad altre persone che conosco no. Non è molto d'aiuto, ma chi non l'ha apprezzato non ha saputo spiegarmi perchè, e non posso dire perchè mi sia piaciuto perchè spoilererei il finale.
This novels follows a pattern common to many Murakami's books: the protagonist is a depressed and a bit uncool man, and there's a magical world that is superimposed on the real one (in fact there are significant parallels with Coe). The most interesting element of this novel is that the protagonist is forced by a mysterious organization to search all over Japan for...a sheep. A sheep that hides a mystery that gradually becomes more and more disturbing.
I liked it, but other people I know didn't. It is not much help, but the people who didn't appreciate it weren't unable to explain why, and I can't say why I liked it beacause I would spoiler the ending.
