Moebius Q_Q

Ieri è morto Jean Henri Gaston Giraud, in arte Moebius (o Gir), uno dei miei disegnatori e fumettisti preferiti, nonchè autore del fumetto che mi ha ispirato di più ed è il mio preferito in assoluto: Le garage hermetique, un fumetto surrealista. Continuo a rileggerlo e ogni volta mi dà nuove idee.
 E'stato originariamente pubblicato in puntate di 3-4 pagine e come trama è molto fluido e frammentato. Per darne un'idea: inizia con il riassunto delle puntate precedenti e non ha una fine definitiva. E' molto difficile dare un'idea dello svolgimento, ma l'ambientazione è surrealista-fantascientifica, tantopiù che il mondo in cui si svolge la trama è diviso in vari livelli, sia fisici sia di realtà. In più lo stile di disegno cambia continuamente, da capitoletto a capitoletto, ma anche da una vignetta all'altra.

Yesterday Jean Henri Gaston Giraud, alias Moebius (or Gir), one of my favorite illustrators and cartoonists, died. He was the author of the comic that inspired me the most and is my absolute favorite: The garage hermetique, a surrealist comic. I still reread it and every time it gives me new ideas.
  It was originally published in chapters of 3-4 pages and the plot is very fluid and fragmented. To give you an idea: it starts with the summary of previous episodes and has no definitive end. It 's very difficult to give an idea of the plot but the setting is a surreal science fiction world divided into various levels, both physical and of reality. The style of drawing changes continuously, from short chapter to short chapter, but also in the same page.

Di suo ho letto poco altro (perchè i volumoni che vendono in fumetteria costano tanto ç_ç), ma di questo "altro" fa parte il mitico Incal, che Moebius ha disegnato, mentre i testi sono di Alejandro Jodorowsky. L'ambientazione è ancora una volta fantascientifica, ma la trama è molto più lineare e comprensibile rispetto a quella del Garage. Il protagonista è il detective John Difool, che si ritrova per caso in possesso di uno strano oggetto, l'incal, desiderato anche da varie organizzazioni potentissime. Attraverso l'universo (e gli splendidi disegni di Moebius), con fughe, nuovi incontri e momenti di comicità alternati a scene epiche, si dipana la storia dell'Incal e di Difool, poco volenteroso nel suo ruolo di eroe.
Ho letto anche Azrach, che ha per protagonista un guerriero che si sposta a cavallo di uno pterodattilo, ma secondo me è inferiore ad entrambe le altre opere di cui ho parlato, sia come trama sia perchè la violenza sembra molto più gratuita.

I read little else of his works (because the volumes sold here cost so much ç_ç), but of this "other" is part of the legendary Incal, that Moebius drew, while the text is by Alejandro Jodorowsky. The setting is once again a science fiction one, but the plot is much more linear and understandable than that of the Garage. The protagonist is the detective John Difool, who by chance enters in possession of a strange object, the Incal, also desired by powerful organizations. Across the universe (and the beautiful drawings by Moebius), with escapes, new encounters and moments of humor interspersed with epic scenes, the story follows the Incal and Difool, not so willing in his hero role.
I also read Azrach, which has as its protagonist a warrior riding a pterodactyl, but in my opinion is inferior to both the other works that I mentioned, both because of the plot and because violence seems much more gratuitous.
