Idee per un look marinaresco e creazioni a tema/Nautical outfit + crafting ideas

Ultimamente mi è venuta la fissa del look marinaresco anche se è ancora pieno inverno. Quindi farò un po'di post a tema!

Lately I'm obsessed by nautical style even if it's still winter, so I'll do some themed posts!

Quali sono le chiavi per un look marinaresco? Bianco, rosso e blu, giacche bianche o blu con bottoni d'oro, cappelli da marinaio o da capitano, righe orizzontali bianche e rosse o bianche e blu, corda bianca, simboli marinareschi di ogni genere (ancore, timoni...), stampe riferite al mare (pesci, onde...). Se nel marinaresco includiamo anche il piratesco si aggiungono il Jolly Roger (la tradizionale bandiera con il teschio), i pizzi, le calze a righe, i tricorni, le bandane, gli stivaloni e quant'altro.
In più ormai al marinaresco associamo anche pizzo bianco, perle e jeans.
Direi che non è difficile creare un outfit marinaresco anche solo con quello che c'è già nell'armadio.

What are the fundamentals of nautical style? White, red and blue, white or blue jackets with golden buttons, sailor or capitain's hats, horizontal black and white or blue and white stripes, white rope, every tipe of nautical symbol (anchors, wheels...), sea themed prints (fishes, waves...). If you add pirate style to the nautical one you have the Jolly Roger (the traditional flag with the skull), lace, striped socks, tricorne, bandanas, boots and so on.
Nowadays we associate with nautical style jeans, white lace and pearls too.
It isn't too difficult to create a nautical outfit with things we already have, isn't it?

Altri due outfit a tema, il primo più raffinato e zingaresco e il secondo più romantico, scannerizzati da una rivista che ho comprato in Giappone, Woofin'girl, che stilisticamente si rifà al B-key, ovvero stile black, ovvero all'hip-hop. Quest'immagine proviene dal mio album dei ritagli ed è stata tagliata da Grazia. La giacca è di Moschino. Secondo me è facile da replicare avendo una vecchia giacca blu ed è di grande effetto. Basta procurarsi toppe (o anche solo spillette) a tema e bottoni dorati. Si può usare anche una giacca bianca, crema o rossa.

Fukubukuro

I saldi in Giappone hanno un tratto distintivo: le fukubukuro. Letteralmente fukubukuro (福袋) significa pacco a sorpresa. Infatti non sono altro che pacchi contenenti una selezione di capi di una certa marca scontati spesso del 50% o più. La sorpresa sta nel fatto che non si sa cosa si sta acquistando, anche se quest'anno il contenuto di alcune fukubukuro è stato annunciato prima. Le fukubukuro sono borse a sorpresa anche perchè in alcune sono inseriti in più oggetti extra, in genere molto costosi, che vanno dalla borsetta al biglietto aereo, per invogliare i clienti a comprarle. I costi vanno da circa uno a 100 euro, con l'eccezione di alcune che hanno prezzi altissimi.

La tradizione è cominciata nel tardo periodo Meiji, nel centro commerciale Ginza Matsuya, come un modo per liberarsi della merce invenduta prima del nuovo anno, secondo la tradizione di fare pulizia liberandosi del vecchiume prima del nuovo anno. Infatti le fukubukuro si vendono a capodanno. Le fukubukuro sono anche un modo per i negozianti per attirare i clienti a fare shopping nei loro negozi. Al giorno d'oggi sono diventate un evento attesissimo da tutte le fashion victims per accaparrarsi pezzi scontati delle proprie marche preferite: davanti ai negozi ci sono spesso code lunghissime e le fukubukuro vengono esaurite spesso il giorno stesso. La buona notizia è che si possono anche comprare su internet, tenendo conto però del fatto che quelle vendute su internet a volte hanno contenuti un po'diversi da quelle dei negozi.
Una caratteristica delle fukubukuro di quest'anno sono i contenitori: oltre alle buste di carta o plastica e alle più particolari valigie con le rotelle (Liz Liza, per esempio) si sono viste addirittura enormi lattine!
Sembra che la tradizione si stia estendendo anche in altre nazioni, almeno in certi negozi. Spero che arrivi anche in Italia (anche se forse sono un po'troppo pigra per fare code immense)!

Sales in Japan have a particularity: the fukubukuro. Literally fukubukuro (福袋) means lucky pack. Infact fukubukuro are packs containing random items of a certain brand discounted of 50% or more. Normally the pack content is unknown, but this year the composition of some fukubukuro was previously announced. Fukubukuro are luky packs even because sometimes there are extra random items in some of them, generally expensive, from a bag to a plane ticket. The price range is between 1 and 100 USD, with the exception of some really really expensive ones.
Fukubukuro started in the late Meiji period at the Ginza Matsuya Department Store as a way for stores to get rid of excess and unwanted merchandise, according to the japanese tradition that one must start the New Year clean of the unwanted trash from the previous year. Infact the fukubukuro are sold on New Years Day. But nowaday's fukubukuro sale is an event to witch all the fashion victims look forward to grap discounted items of their favourite brands: in front of the stores there are really long queques and the fukubukuro usually sell out the same day of the release. The good news is that one can buy fukubukuro on the net too, but sometimes the items contained in the fukubukuro sold on the internet are slightly different from the ones sold in the shops. A charateristic of this year's fukubukuro is the container: not only plastic and paper bags, shoppers and suitcases with wheels (Liz Lisa), there were giant size tins too! It seems that the fukubukuro sales are spreading in other parts of the world, at least in some shop. I hope it will arrive in Italy too (tough I'm a bit to lazy for long queques XD).

Tendenze di primavera: le nuove collezioni di Pimkie, H&M e Tally Weijl/Spring tends: Pimkie, H&M andTally Weijl new collections

Ho cercato qualche foto per illustrare le tendenze di primavera visto che il mio articolo in proposito non aveva nemmeno una foto (e già così era lungo). Ho scelto le immagini dai siti di Pimkie, H&M e Tally Weijl che proponevano già degli ideali outfit completi. Magari non rispecchieranno quello che si metterà davvero la gente, ma sono un modo per vedere le tendenze di primavera declinate in stili diversi.

I searched for spring trends photos as in the post I wrote about it there weren't any (It was already long). I choose images from the Pimkie, H&M and Tally Weijl's sites because they already propose complete outfits. Maybe they won't be realistic representations of what people will really wear in spring, but they are a way to see the spring trends in different styles.

Pimkie fa un sondaggio sul look di primavera preferito, una cosa interessantissima per capire i gusti del pubblico. Per votare anche voi cliccate qui. Il look vincente per ora è il terzo. Io ho votato il secondo. Comunque i jeans con le toppe floreali sono un colpo di genio (e facili da copiare...mmm). Nonostante l'avvento del marrone la base di colori nera va ancora fortissimo, specie perchè non siamo ancora usciti dall'inverno. Per quanto mi riguarda gli outfit di Pimkie sono i migliori delle tre marche in quanto si potrebbero immaginare di portare tutti i giorni e inglobano le tendenze di primavera in un casual ma non troppo, con un tocco di originalità.

I voted for the second, but I really like the third's jeans with floral patches (not difficult to copy...mmm). Tough the success of brown, black is still strong as a base colour for outfits, maybe because we aren't out of the winter yet. As for me Pimkie's outfits are the better of the three brands because they can be everyday wear and they're casual but not too much, with an original touch.

Mi piacerebbe il secondo outfit non fosse per quella gonna grigiastra, lunga e aderente, che non sta bene nemmeno alla modella. Ne vedete di simili anche fra i look proposti da Tally ed è la proposta di stagione che mi lascia più perplessa in assoluto.

I may have liked the second outfit if it wasen't for the thight greysh long skirt that doesn't flatter even the model. You can see similar ones in the Tally's outfits. It's the season's trend I like less.

Tally Weijl come al solito propone un look sexy fatto di roba corta e/o aderente e stavolta anche di pance scoperte (che secondo non riprenderanno piede ancora per un po', nonostante dall'anno scorso alcune marche fra cui H&M e da Tally Weijl tentino di riproporre le magliette corte e larghe stile anni '80). E'buffo vedere le tendenze di primavera declinate in questo stile visto che molte, come il rosa e i fiorellini, non rientrano nella classica definizione del look sexy. E' particolarmente interessante vedere su quali outfit siano segnati come migliori.Voi siete d'accordo? I miei preferiti sono l'ultimo della prima riga e il primo della seconda. As usual Tally Weijl propose a sexy look, made of short or/and tight clothes and this times of uncovered bellys too (I don't think they will retourn shortly, though 80's short and large tees are proposed since last years by brands like H&M and Tally Weijl). Is funny to see the spring trends rocked in a sexy style because trend like flowers and pink aren't among the classical traits of sexy style. Do you agree to the outfits Tally marked with "hot"? Saldi, 2°round/Sales, 2nd round

Ieri ho fatto un giro di saldi con V-chan. Stavolta l'obiettivo sono stati i negozi del centro, fra S.Babila e via Torino.
Questo nuovo giro è stato decisamente più soddisfacente del precedente perchè non pioveva, ho visto negozi in cui non andavo da un po' come Alcott, Oysho e il Disney store e perchè i prezzi si sono già abbassati. Questo si nota soprattutto da Promod, Pimkie (il maglione che mi piace è già passato da 20 a 15 euro) e Tally Weijl. Attenzione perchè da Promod c'è un ulteriore sconto sull'ultimo pezzo. Io l'anno scorso ho preso degli stivali che normalmente costavano sui 60 euro e in saldo 30 a 15 euro.
Ho visto parecchie cose molto carine che cercherò nel terzo e ultimo giro di saldi a fine mese quando di spera che i prezzi saranno ribassatissimi.
Ed ecco i miei acquisti:

Yesterday I went shopping with V-chan. This time our goal were the center's shops, between S.Babila square and Torino street.
This time was way more satisfing then the one before because it didn't rain, I saw shops were I didn't go for a while like Alcott, Oysho and the Disney store, and the prices already dropped.
You can notice it in particular at Promod, Pimkie (the pullover I like already dropped from 20 euros to 15) and Tally Weijl. Be careful because Promod does an aditional discount on the last piece. Last year I bought a pair of boots that originally costed 60 euros and were discounted at 30, at 15 euros.
I saw a lot of nice things I'll search for when I'll go shopping at the end of the month, when the prices will be very low, I hope.

Dei pantaloncini di Oysho che avevo già notato credo a settembre e che non speravo assolutamente di ritrovare, pagati sugli 8 euro.

A pair of shorts by Oysho payd around 8 euros. I already saw them I think in september and I really didn't build my hopes up to high to find them on sale!

Un vestito di pizzo beige di H&M a soli 10 euro *_* L'H&M di S.Babila è probabilmente il più fornito di Milano. I miei buoni propositi per lo shopping, a parte farne meno, consistevano nel comprare vestiti facili da lavare e di materiali decenti. Purtroppo questo vestito si lava solo a mano ed è di pizzo sintetico un po'lucidino (le lolite disapproverebbero). In più non so quando metterlo, ma non ho potuto resistere perchè mi piaceva un sacco e mi sta benissimo.

A beige lace dress by H&M, paid only 10 euros *_* My next year good purposes about shopping, apart from buying less,included buying clothes easy to wash and made of decent materials. Unfortunately this dress have to be washed by hand and the lace is a bit shiny (lolitas would disapprove). Plus I don't know in what occasions I can wear it, bout I couldn't resist because I liked it a lot and it flatters me.

Giovedì scorso sono andata con la mia amica Martina (conosciuta anche come colei-che-mi-fa-i-banner) e le nostre dolci metà a sentire una conferenza fighissima sulla materia oscura al planetario. E lei mi ha regalato per natale + compleanno un libro che desideravo da un sacco di tempo e che avevo iniziato a leggiucchiare di nascosto in libreria!!! Nientemeno che "Il castello errante di Howl" di Diana Wynne Jones, da cui è stato tratto l'omonimo cartone animato di Myazaki. Probabilmente è anche il mio preferito di Miyazaki (Howl è gnocco!), anche se la sfida con La principessa Mononoke e Totoro è durissima. Dalle prime pagine sembra davvero stupendo, e lei garantisce che è anche meglio del cartone!

Last Thursday I went with my friend Martina (also known as She-who-makes-my-banners) and our sweet halfs to listen an amazing conference about dark matter at the planetarium. And she gave me as a Xmas + bday present a book I wanted a lot and that I covertly started to read at the bookshop!!! Nothing less than Diana Wynne Jones'"Howl's Mowing Castle", that inspired the homonymous film by Miyazaki. Probably it is my favourite film by Miyazaki (howl's soo hot!), but there's a harsh competition with Princess Mononoke and Totoro. By the first pages it seems whitty and interesting, and Martina said it's way better than the film.

Oggi invece sono andata per saldi con V-chan (con più successo dell'ultima volta, per fortuna) e lei per il mio compleanno mi ha regalato un portamonete a forma di coniglio di Accessorize! E' carinissimo e magari così smetterò di cacciarmi le monete in tasca e ritrovarle anni dopo o farle cadere dappertutto!

Today I went sales hopping with V-chan (more successfully than the first time, luckily) and she gave me for my birthday a cute Accessorize's bunny shaped change purse! So cute and finally I won't put coins in my pockets and find it years later or drop it everywere!

Previsioni della moda di primavera/Spring fashion forecast

!This time I split the italian and the english version in two different articles, because it was too unconfortable to have all this long text mixed up. You can find the english version under the italian one!

Ho cercato di farmi un'idea dello stile della prossima primavera guardando le nuove collezioni delle marche più popolari (H&M, Bershka, Pimkie, Tally Weijl, Terranova, Zara, Promod) e cercando sui siti delle riviste di moda o dei pretesi scopritori di tendenze, che si rifanno soprattutto alle sfilata di alta moda.

COLORI E MATERIALI
In generale si preannunciano accostamenti di colori brillanti e i siti che si rifanno all'alta moda dicono che il colore di stagione sarà l'arancione.
Nonostante questo i colori più visti nella nuove collezioni sono beige e rosa, soprattutto pallido. Anche il bianco è un colore di stagione e quello di tendenza per il pizzo, che anche quest'anno sarà di moda.
Il denim va soprattutto chiaro. Per cinture, scarpe e borse sembra andare parecchio la pelle marrone.

FANTASIE
Senza troppi stupori anche questa primavera il floreale sarà la fantasia di stagione. A questa si affiancano stampe arabescate etniche, in genere su tessuti leggeri.
Di sicuro andranno ancora molto le righe orizzontali, anche perchè è probabile un ritorno dello stile marinaresco a inizio primavera, come da un po'di anni a questa parte.
In quasi tutte le nuove collezioni si vedono motivi a quadri in colori primaverili o comunque più chiari rispetto alle versioni invernali. Però più che una tendenza propria della primavera secondo me è più un residuo delle tendenze invernali. Continua ad andare abbastanza il leopardato versione nature, cioè su fondo beige (Tally Weijl, Zara, H&M).
Sembra che questa stagione sia concesso mixare fantasie anche diversissime, una tendenza pronosticata sia dalle riviste di moda e dai fashion hunter, sia proposta "dal basso" da marche come H&M.

FORME
Continua il progressivo innalzamento della vita dei pantaloni. Pare anche che i pantaloni super aderenti stiano passando di moda e che andranno allargandosi anche le gambe, con qualche sporadica zampa d'elefante.
Ai maxiabiti dell'anno scorso si affiancano le maxigonne, però entrambi, pur conservando la lunghezza rasoterra, sembrano meno ampi. Sull'onda della tendenza sia H&M sia Tally Weijl hanno lanciato nella nuova collezione delle urende gonne lunghissime informi, che secondo me stanno bene a pochissime.
I tacchi della prossima stagione probabilmente si abbasseranno e andanno molto i sandali piatti .
Continuano ad essere molto presenti le cinture alte che segnano la vita.

STILI
Come ho detto, probabilmente a inizio primavera tornerà di nuovo lo stile marinaresco, se non proprio esplicitamente almeno per i colori rosso, navy e bianco (interpretati anche come stile americano) e le righe orizzontali (Bershka, H&M). Pare che sarà un grosso trend anche nel gyaru.
Tornano gli anni '70 (ma tornano sempre gli anni passati?), a quanto pare soprattutto per l'uso del colore.
Se volete farvi due risate guardate la style guide di H&M che rispetta tutti i must di stagione, ma proponendo dei look a dir poco atroci.

MUST HAVE
I capi trendy che non rientrano nelle categorie sopracitate sono entrambi giacche: le giacche/felpe da baseball (terranova, H&M), e le giacche tipo blazer, portate anche mischiando gli stili (per esempio la giacca del blazer con uno stile sportivo o la giacca da baseball con un abito romantico).

TRUCCO
Perfino fra le gal vanno le unghie corte, sempre elaborate, ma con un occhio in più alla comodità. Sembra che nel frattempo si vada diffondendo sempre di più la nail art, in particolare la french manicure.

IN FORSE
Le calze al ginocchio (o anche appena sopra o sotto) che io sappia sono proposte per la primavera solo da Tally Weijl, ma secondo me tutta la gente che si è comprata le calze al ginocchio questo inverno le metterà di certo se non in primavera almeno l'inverno prossimo anche se fossero dichiarate out dagli stilisti, come due anni fa con il poncho.
Forse torneranno anche le magliette di ispirazione sportiva con i numeri (Pimkie, H&M), che purtroppo non mi piacciono per niente.
Probabilmente anche quest'anno, specie in tarda primavera ed estate, tornerà il fedora bianco con la fascia nera. H&M ne propone una versione intorno ai 10 euro.
Da H&M e altrove si vedono fasce da annodarsi in testa o cerchietti con un fiocco in stile usamimi. E' forse possibile che le usamimi si diffondano anche da noi? Speriamo, perchè non ho ancora messo quelle che mi sono fatta!
Secondo il sito di Pimkie lo zaino farà un grande ritorno. Probabilmente quello trendy sarà a fiori come quello proposto da Pimkie. Al momento si trovano zaini floreali in saldo da Tally Weijl, ma in tonalità poco primaverili.

I tried to get a sense of the next springs fashion trends looking at the new collection of the most popular brands (H&M, Bershka, Pimkie, Tally Weijl, Terranova, Zara, Promod) and searching on the sites of the fashion magazine and of the self proclaimed fashion hunters, who relate in particular to high fashion and catwalks.

COLOURS AND FABRICS
In general are annunced combinations of bright colours. The high fashion relates sites say the season's color will be orange.
Still, the colours I see most in the new collections are beige and pink, expecially in pale shades pallido. White is a season's colour too and the fashion one for lace, witch is a strong trend for this spring/summer as it was for the last one.
The fashion shade for denim is the pale blue one. Brown leather is trendy for shoes, belts and bags.

PATTERNS
I wasn't too surprised to learn that floral will be another time the season's hot pattern. A stong trend arabesque-like ethnic patterns too.
Surely horizontal stripes will be big this year too, as probably there will be a comeback of sailor style in the eary spring like in the last years.
In a lot of new collection I spotted checkered patterns in spring or paler-then-the-winter-version colorways. But I think is more a residual of the winter fashion than a spring trend.
Leopard print is still in, in the natural version with beige background (Tally Weijl, Zara, H&M).
This spring will be ok to mix up different patterns, a trend forecasted by fashion magazines, fashion hunters, and by the downmarket H&M too.

SHAPES
The rise of the waist line slowly continues. Skinny trousers are starting to be out, so the trousers'legs are widening too, with some 70's bell bottoms.
The last year's maxidresses are joined by this year's maxiskirts. The lenght is still near to the floor level, but I think the width decreased. H&M and Tally Weijl followed the trend and launched in the new collection long and shapeless skirts, witch for me are horrible and hardly flattering on anyone, even on the models in the collections'photos.
The next season's heels will be lower, with a preference for flat sandals.
High belsts that emphasize the waist are still big.

STYLES
As I said sailor style will have a comeback in the early spring, if not openly at least for the colours white, red and navy (categorized as american syle too) and for the horizontal stripes (Bershka, H&M). It will be strong in gyaru fashion too.
70' will have a comeback too (will the oldies inspired trends never pass?), in particular for the use of bright colours.
If you wanna laugh you can look at H&M style guide which respects all the rules, but creates looks that are at least terrible.

MUST HAVE
The other season's must have are both jackets: baseball sweatshirt/jackets(Terranova, H&M), and blazer jackets, worn with mixed styles too (for example the blazer with a sporty look and the baseball jacket with a frilly dress).

MAKE UP
Even in the gyary style short nails are in, stil decorated but more caring about comfort.
Nail art (for example the french) is spreading.

MAYBE
Knee high socks (or over the knee or a bit under) are a spring suggestion only by Tally Weijl. I think, as a lot of people bought them this winter, they will use it if not this spring, surely next winter, even is high fashion say they're out like it happened with the poncho two years ago.
Maybe there will be a comeback of the sporty tees with numbers (Pimkie H&M), that I don't like at all.
Probably in the late spring-summer period will return the white fedora with a black band that was hot last year. H&M already proposed it's version that costs around 10 euros.
At H&M and not only I spotted usamimi shaped hairbands. Cuold be possible an usamimi diffusion in Europe? I didn't wear the one I made yet!
According to Pimkie's site backpacks will have a comeback. Probably floreal ones like Pimkie's will be the must have. Now you can find a floral one on sale at Tally Weijl (at least in Italy), but in winterish colours.

Complanno (post tardo)/Birthday (late post)

Il 7 gennaio è stato il mio 23esimo compleanno! Sono stata fortunata perchè era un venerdì e così ho avuto tutto il weekend per festeggiare. Sono andata per saldi, ho mangiato tante cose buone, ho avuto tanti bei regali, ho pattinato, ho visto finalmente Batman il cavaliere oscuro...però ha piovuto tutto il tempo -_-'
Ecco i regali che ho ricevuto finora dalle mie amiche:

The 7th of January was my 23th birthday! I was lucky because it was a Fryday and I had all the weekend to celebrate. I went sales shopping, I ate lots of yummy food, I recieved a lot of beautiful presents, I ice skated, I finally saw Batman the dark knight...but it rained all the time -_-'
Here are the presents I recieved until now from my friends:

Un gioco di carte per imparare i kanji dalla mia amica Elettra!!! L'avevo visto prima e lo volevo un sacco, ma ero sempre al verde! Non vedo l'ora di giocarci, i kanji sono il mio punto debole nello studio del giapponese quindi vorrei migliorare, e se posso farlo divertendomi cosa posso chiedere di più?

A card game for learning kanji from my friend Elettra!!! I saw it before and I really wanted to buy it, but I was always broke! I'm looking forward to play it, kanji are my weak point in learning japanese, so I really need to improve, and if I can do it in a funny way what can I ask more?

Dalla Bi ho ricevuto un libro di cui avevamo già parlato e che mi interessava tantissimo!!! C'è tutto: femminismo, fossili, amicizia...Infatti lei temeva che l'avessi già preso, ma provvidenzialmente, nel turbine oscuro dell'università, me n'ero dimenticata. Trovate la trama qui.
Mi ha anche regalato un segnalibro carinissimo dell'illustratrice Gaia Stella.
Sigh, fra Natale e compleanno mi stanno regalando un sacco di libri bellissimi e io invece devo studiare orrendi tomi universitari!

From my friend Bi I recieved a book we talked about and that interested me a lot!!! There's all: feminism, fossils, friendship...Infact she was worried I could have already bought it, but in the dark vortex of the university I completly forgot it. You can find the plot here.
She gave me a very nice bookmarker by the illustrator Gaia Stella.
Sigh, for Xmas and my birthday I recieved lots of charming books, tough I have to study horrible volumes for my university exams!

Dalla mia amica Jul ho rivevuto una bellissima cintura lucida rosso ciliegia di Carpisa!!! Sta bene sia con il nero sia con il marrone, quindi ci ha proprio azzeccato! E in più potrebbe essere un pezzo forte con outfit in stile marinaresco che probabilmente sarà una tendenza di primavera...ma ne riparleremo!

From my friend Jul I recieved a gorgeous glossy cherry red belt by Carpisa!!! It fits bolt black and brown and will be a strong point in a sailor themed outfit. Sailor style may be one of next spring's trends, but I'll talk about it another time!
