Acquario di Genova/Genoa's aquarium

Vi avevo già dato le informazioni tecniche concernenti l'acquario di Genova qui, questo post invece riguarda la visita vera e propria.

Nella foto sopra vedete un esempio di yarn bombing, una forma d'arte che consiste nel decorare le città con la lana, che faceva parte di un'esibizione smantellata il 31 marzo.

In th above photo you can see an example of yarn bombing, an art form that consists in decorating the cities with wool, that was part of a bigger installation that was dismantled on the 31th of March.

I pesci abissali mi affascinano un sacco, anche se all'acquario c'erano solo dei modellini. Spesso emettono luci da alcuni punti, e uno di loro aveva delle lucette intorno...all'ano. Mi chiedo a cosa gli servissero O_O

The abyssal fish fascinate me a lot, even though in the aquarium there were only plastic models. They often emit light from some part of theyr nbodies, and one of them had the little lights...around the anus. I wonder what's their aim O_O

 Non potevano mancare i delfini, che siamo anche riusciti a veder mangiare e fare qualche acrobazia per guadagnarsi il pesce quotidiano

Obviously there were dolphins. We manage to see them eat and do some stunts to earn the daily fish

Come vi dicevo, nel nostro biglietto era inclusa anche la visita alla sezione Un battito d'ali (che si trova lungo il percorso normale dell'acquario), dedicata a farfalle tropicali e colibrì, che però mi ha un po'delusa perché c'erano solo due colibrì spelacchiati e della stessa razza e le farfalle sembravano morte da quanto stavano ferme. Però bisogna dire che il prezzo è contenuto: costa 2 euro.

As I said, in our ticket was included a visit to the section Fluttering wings (which is along the normal path of the aquarium), dedicated to tropical butterflies and hummingbirds, but I was a bit deluded because there were only two mangy hummingbirds  of the same breed and the butterflies were so still they seemed dead. But I have to say that the price is low: the ticket costs 2 euro.

 I lamantini mi sono piaciuti, ma mi ha deluso il fatto che fossero entrambi maschi, perché nei libri di Salgari compaiono sempre lamantini femmine con il seno gonfio di latte per poter spiegare che questi animali, avendo il seno simile a quello delle donne, sono una delle possibili spiegazioni dell'origine del mito delle sirene

I liked the manatees, but I was disappointed that they were both males, because in the books by Salgari always appear female manatees with breasts full of milk as an excuse to explain that these animals, having breast similar to that of women, are a possible explanation of the origin of the myth of the sirens

 Mi sono innamorata di questa foca, Luna, che era affascinata dai bambini e si metteva in posa per le foto (al contrario). Abbiamo visto mangiare anche le foche, sono meravigliose quando si muovono rimbalzando sulla terraferma *W*

I fell in love with this seal, Luna, who was fascinated by children and posed for photos (upside down). We have seen seals eting too, they are wonderful when they move bouncing on the dry land *W*

Le meduse sono bellissime...finchè mi stanno lontane XD Ce n'era un tipo che vive al contrario perché ha dei batteri simbionti sui tentacoli

Jellyfish are beautiful...if they stay away from me XD There was a type that lives upside down because it has symbiotic bacteria on the tentacles

 E per chiudere in bellezza, una bizzarra serie di crepe in un vetro: secondo me ci si è schiantato un pesce XD

And to close well, a strange series of cracks in a fisk tank: I think a fish smashed there XD
