Si sapeva che il trend delle stampe tropicali o da spiaggia, con palme & co. sarebbe arrivato. Nonostante sia un po'trash ammetto che non mi dispiace, però certi capi che ho visto sono davvero eccessivi.

It was known tropical or beach (with palm trees & co.) prints would have a comeback in fashion. Despite being a bit trash admit that I do not mind this trend, but some clothes I'saw are really excessive.

Per quanto mi riguarda il tropicale è una stampa estiva ed, essendo pacchiana, andrebbe limitata ad un accessorio (foulard, orecchini a forma di pappagallo...), una maglietta o un costume da bagno, o se proprio si vuole esagerare ad un vestito casual

For me the tropical is a summer primt and, being tacky, should be limited to an accessory (scarf,  parrot shaped earrings ...), a T-shirt or a bathing suit, or if you just want to overdo it, a casual dress

Invece la trovo stonata su blazer e vestiti eleganti, come vogliono proporla quest'anno. In realtà la stampa in sè mi può anche piacere (queste per esempio mi piacciono molto), ma l'effetto di un capo simile indossato magari in un'occasione quotidiana, in città e fuori stagione secondo me è un pugno in un occhio.

Instead I find it jarring on blazers and elegant clothes, as in this year's fashion. In fact, even if I can appreciate the print itself (I really like these for example), I think that the effect of this kind of clothes worn maybe for the daily routine in the city and out of season, is a punch in the eye.

Cemento/Cement

Ricetta del cemento: due terzi di cemento e un terzo di sabbia. Usate una ciotola brutta per miscelare con acqua. Come consistenza deve poter rimanere in verticale senza colare. Conviene comprarlo dai rivenditori edili piuttosto che in posti come il Brico e farlo è facilissimo.

Cement recipe: two parts of cement powder and one of sand. Mix it with water in an ugly bowl of some kind. It must stay vertical without dripping. It's really easy to make at home.

Tutto è cominciato con le All Star. Andavano alla caviglia, poi di colpo hanno iniziato ad essere più fescion quelle basse. Io le preferivo alte, ma vabbè, tutti sanno che ingrossano la caviglia. Piuttosto mi chiedevo chi ancora fosse disposto a spendere 60 verdoni per delle scarpe che dopo un anno si sfondano.

All started with All Stars. The ones all people wore where high to the ankle, then suddenly low ones began to be more fescion. I preferred the high kind, but oh well, everyone knows that it enlarges the ankle. Rather, I wondered who was still willing to spend 60 bucks for shoes that broke after a year.

Adesso però vedo sempre di più in giro, in abbinata al ritorno dell'anfibio in generale, le Dr. Martens basse. Ho un debole per le scarpe robuste dall'aria un po'maschile, ma queste non mi convincono del tutto, perché io ho sempre associato Dr. Martens a "scarpa che tiene la pioggia" e abbassarle non mi sembra una buona mossa in caso di condizioni metereologiche avverse.

Voi che ne pensate?

But now, coupled with the return of combat boots in general,  I see more and more low Dr. Martens around. I have a weakness for  sturdy-looking shoes with a mannish look, but those don't convince me fully, maybe because I always associated Dr. Martens with "shoe that keeps the rain out" and making them lower them does not seem like a good move in the case of adverse weather conditions.

Non sono convintissima da questa combinazione, ho l'impressione che mi ingrassi troppo. O forse sono state torta salata e pizza di questo weekend XD

I'm not fully convinced by this outfit, I feel it makes me look fatter. Or maybe it's the pizza and savoury pie of the last weekend XD

L'ultima pizza che abbiamo fatto io e la Pelosa Metà: era deliziosa, ma dovremmo curare di più l'aspetto.
In quei giorni ho fatto anche la mia prima torta salata e...del cemento. Più o meno erano tutti pesanti uguali XD

Montagna/Mountain

Sabato io e la Pelosa Metà siamo partiti per la settimana bianca! *_*

Finalmente, avevo bisogno di un po'di riposo, tutti i giorni questioni burocratiche e pratiche da risolvere per la nuova casa, tutte le sere scuola, tutti i weekend a ristrutturare e in più il computer rotto...

Sci, neve, pizzoccheri, relax e cioccolate calde, sto arrivando!!!

Peraltro l'anno scorso mi è un po'dispiaciuto andare in montagna perché stava arrivando la prima vera, mentre quest'anno è quasi Pasqua e ancora nevica, quindi ho intenzione di godermi il meglio dell'inverno.

In questo periodo non riuscirò nè a leggere i vostri blog né a rispondere ai commenti, ma recupererò in seguito e ho lasciato qualche mini post per tenervi compagnia mentre sono via ^^

Saturday me and Hairy half left for a skiing week! *_*

I needed a bit of rest from bureaucratic and pratic issues to be resolved for the new house everyday, school every night, refurbishing every weekend and if it wasn't enough the broken computer...

Ski, snow, pizzoccheri, relax and hot chocolate, I'm coming!
Moreover, last year I was a bit sorry to go to the mountains because spring was coming, but this year is almost Easter and it's still snowing, so I'm going to enjoy the best of winter.

In this period I won't read your blogs or reply the comments, but I'll make up later and I sheduled some mini post to keep you company while I'm away ^^

Hina matsuri

Bambole hina dell'ottico Junichiro Sugimoto/Hina dolls of the optician Junichiro Sugimoto

Oggi in Giappone è Hina Matsuri, la festa delle bambole e delle bambine, che fa da contrappunto al Koinobori, la festa dei bambini del 5 maggio.
Questa celebrazione risale al periodo Heian e a sua volta (794-1185) deriva dall'antica usanza dell'Hina-nagashi, in cui delle bambole venivano poste lungo il corso di un fiume perché insieme a loro fossero portati via gli spiriti maligni. Durante l'Hina-matsuri si espongono su di un'apposita piattaforma a scalini coperta da un drappo rosso delle bambole, che rappresentano i personaggi principali della corte del periodo Heian e sono vestite con i costumi tradizionali dell'epoca.
Ma dall'anno scorso c'è una novità: a Gujo, nella prefettura di Gifu, si sono cominciate ad esibire le tipiche bambole dell'Hina-matsuri impegnate in attività quotidiane come mangiare, stendere, giocare a calcio...

Today in Japan is Hina Matsuri, the festival of dolls and girls, that is the counterpart of Koinobori, the boy's festival on May 5.
This celebration dates back to the Heian period (794-1185) and derives from the older Hina nagashi tradition, where the dolls were placed along the course of a river so that evil spirits might be taken away with them. During the Hina-matsuri people expose dolls, which represent the main characters of the Heian court and are dressed in traditional costumes of the time, on a special platform with steps covered with a red cloth.
But since last year there is something new: in Gujo, a city of Gifu prefecture, people began to exhibit the typical Hina-matsuri dolls engaged in daily activities such as eating, draw, play soccer ...

Fashion contest per Grazia.it/Grazia.it fashion contest

Per scegliere un fashion blogger, Grazia.it ha lanciato una sfida, che consiste nel creare un outfit attorno a uno dei capi in vendita nel negozio online recentemente aperto all'interno del loro sito.
Io ho scelto l'abito di Marco de Vincenzo che fa parte della capsule collection creata apposta per il sito. Ho optato per un abbinamento vintage ispirato alla campagna in primavera, con ciliegie, papaveri, cappello e borsa di paglia, una sottogonna di pizzo e dei calzini alla caviglia con pizzo e pois.

To choose a fashion blogger, Grazia.it launched a contest that consists in using a piece of theire newly opened online shop to create an outfit.
I choose Marco de Vincenzo's dress, that is a part of the capsule collection created for the site.
I chose a vintage coordination inspired by country in spring, with cherries, poppies, straw hat and bag, a lace underskirt and polka dots ankle socks with ruffles.

Una mori girl che seguo su tumblr ha condiviso i nomi di alcuni dei suoi negozi preferiti su Etsy (che, per chi non lo sapesse, è la più grande vetrina del fatto a mano su internet), così ho iniziato a guardarmeli per benino e ho deciso di condividere con voi le cose che mi sono piaciute di più ^^

Purtroppo non mi posso permettere niente, ma la contemplazione di creazioni fatte a mano è comunque fonte di ispirazione!

A mori girl I follow on tumblr  shared the names of some of his favorite stores on Etsy (which, for the uninitiated, is the largest showcase of handmade items on the internet), so I started to browse them accurately and I decided to share with you what I liked the most ^^

Calze tatuaggio da Calzedonia!/Tatto tights at Calzedonia!

-*AiKi*-, mia assidua e simpaticissima commentatrice, mi ha dato una notizia che può interessare molte di voi: nella nuova collezione di Calzedonia ci sono delle calze-tatuaggio, la moda che spopola in Giappone da circa un anno! Purtroppo pare ci siano solo i modelli che vedete nelle foto (che vengono dal sito ufficiale di Calzedonia), ma potrebbe essere l'inizio di un boom delle calze-tatuaggio anche in Italia, favorito dall'arrivo della primavera.
A me piacciono quelle con le farfalline, ma ho paura che le devasterei. Voi cosa ne pensate?

The italian socks brand Calzedonia launched tatto tights, that were a big japanese trend for almost an year. As for now they only have the two types in the photos (that come from the official site), but I think it can be the start of a big trend in Italy too, favoured by the arrival of spring.
I like the ones with butterflies, but I think I'd destroy them in short time. What do you think?
