Weekend a Praga: Partenza!/Weekend in Prague: Leaving!

For our anniversary my Hairy Half spoiled me with a trip to Prague, one of my favorite cities in the world. I had already been there 10 years ago, while he never visited it.
We left last Friday night, arriving without problems, apart from a wrong announcement on the train and Easyjet embarking half of the hand luggage (thankfully not ours) because it didn't have enough space on board.

In Czech Republic there are plenty of places that make Italian food, at the airport we found the fantastic "Mattoni Cafè". "Mattoni" in italian means "bricks". I suppose that it made heavy food.

Siamo arrivati senza aver cenato.

We arrived without having had dinner. Luckily at the airport there was a Billa, where we admired the local products (especially cheese and salami) and bought some food.

At the deli counter there were some really cheap sandwiches made at the moment for 19 CZK. We took two different types of meats: a thick slice of what looked like a songy fat sausage, and something that looked like a more fat and spicy meatloaf. Plus we bought an apple, blueberry and strawberry juice, a chocolate cake bar covered in white chocolate and long salamy that we ended up not eating because the sandwiches were very heavy.

Dall'aereoporto è piuttosto facile arrivare in centro città.

From the airport is pretty easy to get to the city center. You have to buy a 1 hour ticket for 32 CZK at the vending machines (also in English) of the second platform outside the airport, take bus 119, which runs from 5:45 to 23:39, and get out at the terminus station of Nádraží Veleslavín, where there is an underground Station of the green A line. Prague's underground has only three lines that don't split, so it is pretty simple to use. For example the Malostranská stop is the one of Malá Strana, Staromestská is the one of the Old City, Mustek is the one in the south part of Wenceslas Square and Muzeum the one in the north part of the same square.
We changed line, took the yellow one and got out at Namesti Republiky to reach Biskupská street 1347/9, in Bílá Labuť neightbourhoo, where there was our hotel.
Choosing the hotel was difficult: as we had only the weekend to visit the city, we needed an accommodation as central as possible to reduce travel time. In addition we could not spend too much and many places had bad reviews regarding cleanliness on the internet.
In the end we chose Luxury Family Hotel Bílá Labuť, a 4-star hotel, which we could afford thanks to a discount found on the internet. It's very central and is situated next to a very pretty old church.

Its good reviews are well-deserved. Besides being in a great location, it is very clean, with 24 hours reception and really nice and helpful staff.
As you can see from the photos, the rooms are not huge, but they are comfortable. There are a hair dryer, towels, shower gel and shampoo, soap, TV and free wi-fi.
In addition, the hotel also has a bar and a spa and also welcomes pets.

We had included breakfast, which was continental, good, but not outstanding.
In general I promote this hotel with flying colors. Though, be aware that in addition to the reported sum, you'll have to pay a small additional permanence fee, which for us was about 84 CZK (less than 4€).
