Maglietta--> Sciarpe estive stampate/T-shirt--> printed summer scarves

Last week I desperately searched for summer scarves to print to add a handmade something to the gifts for some friends who have birthdays in this period. Now that it's hot, though, scarves almost disappeared, but I didn't give up and I decided to make them myself. I chose to buy and cut some T-shirts because they have a fabric that does not fray, plus, they are 100% cotton and I think that with the heat it's better to wear natural fabrics. I chose ones with no seams on the sides to get infinity scarves.
I cut each shirt in order to obtain two.

After that, I prepared them for printing inserting newspaper sheets between the layers...

... I printed them, choosing different stamps and pattern depending on the friend, and finally I ironed them to fix the color.

This is the final result (sorry if I wore your scarf, Siò). It can be easily cut open to get a normal scarf.
Maybe a scarf is not the most appropriate gift for the summer, but I am a great supporter of always having a light scarf the bag, because there are places that keep their air conditioning super high where, if you aren't protected, you risk from torticollis to pneumonia.

I used the scarf I made to wrap the present! I (modestly) think it is one of the most beautiful packages I ever made!
