Jupiter ascending

"Jupiter ascending" 2015 is an American-Australian science fiction film, written, produced and directed by the Wachowski brothers, the same of "Matrix," "V for Vendetta" and "Cloud Atlas".
The main character is Jupiter Jones, a girl of Russian origin illegally immigrated in the US who works as a cleaning woman, who turns out to be the center of a conflict between the members of one of the most powerful space dynasties.
The reviews I read were mostly critical, because of inconsistencies in the plot, and too much reliance on special effects, which is why I had postponed the vision for a long time. But I loved it.
It exploits the Cinderella complex, that is an insignificant girl who turns out to be important. But it does so with an irony that I liked a lot and compared to the typical film of this kind the science fiction setting and the ending are surprising. I think this theme might be particularly liked by women, bombed from childhood with this kind of stuff.
While watching I didn't notice a particular inconsistencies, although in retrospect I found something.
The special effects are spectacular, lovers of slow motion explosions and battles between giant spaceships will be satisfied. In fact those who judged them excessive have a point, they give an epic-ironic tone to the film.
Ultimately it is a nice trash film and, if you watch it knowing it, you will have fun. If you expect a highly intellectual work you'll be disappointed.

Purtroppo l'ho trovato deludente su tutti i fronti...
