Il mio Maggio via Instagram/My May via Instagram

I started the month with a nerd weekend with friends on Maggiore lake while in Milan there were anti-Expo disorders.

Comincerò a inizio giugno.

In mid-month I had wonderful news: I found a job as a translator for the period of the Expo. I will begin in early June.

Towards the end of the month, I decided to relax from the stress of the other thousands of jobs and of the school with a weekend at the beach where I took my first bath of the year and I ate a lot.

The next week I had the final exam of my comics class: after three years, even this experience came to an end!

Despite my bikini body goal, this month I ate lots of good things and tried new places where to eat. In particular, I tried the special beauty menu made as a collaboration by the Japanese restaurant Osaka, that I wanted to try for a while, and Shiseido, which also gave me a series of samples. Then I discovered a new very good Vietnamese restaurant, Vinh Long and tried Mercato Metropolitano (Metropolitan Market), a food market opened for the Expo, very hipster and quite expensive but also very good (you can find all the links under the respective photos).

In terms of creativity I have done little, or rather, I concentrated towards school all I had. For the rest I turned a dress into a skirt, made nautical jewels and printed a T-shirt with cats and anchors with my selfmade stamps.

I also played Monkey Island 3 and read a lot. In addition to the new PK history on the italian Mikey Mouse magazine, I read Ilario by Mary Gentle, The Key, the last of the Swedish urban fantasy trilogy of Engelsfors, A che punto è la notte by Fruttero and Lucentini and the pirates series by Valerio Evangelisti (you can find the Reviews of Tortuga and Veracruz here and here).

That first photo is gorgeous! And I'm glad you're loving Monkey Island! It was a huge part of my childhood, and Guybrush was my first fictional crush, lol XD

Also, the Mickey Mouse comic looks surprisingly good! Donald Duck is my favourite (I don't know if you've ever seen it, but I loved the Duck Tales TV show...I much prefer Donald Duck as a protagonist to Mickey Mouse...)

@Rhiannon: thank you! :D
I love long haired guys, but Guybrush is a bit too stupid (innocent?) for me XD
Everyone prefers Donald, Mickey is too annoying :P I loved Duck Tales, but I read the comic and didn't watch much of the series.
The comic in the photo is a new adventure of a series published during my childhood in a superhero-like size magazine, that had Paperinik (Duck Avenger) as the main hero and had more mature themes than the classic Disney stories and a sci-fi setting. It was created in Italy and published abroad too (Denmark, France, Greece, Norway, Sweden, Germany), but, for what I know, not in UK.

Grazie, crepi! ^^

@Marco: Ci provo sempre! :D
A me piacerebbe che li ristampassero in albetto.

@Nyu: guarda...
