- erba cipollina
- pepe
- miele

Preparazione:
Mischiare erba cipollina, pepe e formaggio.

At my birthday party, of the foods I prepared myself, the most successful thing was the goat cheese sauce. I did not expect it because generally italian people don't like very much mixtures of sweet and savoury, but I also have to say that the combination of goat cheese and honey is a classic.
Here is the recipe:

Ingredients:
- A pack of soft goat cheese
- chives
- pepper
- honey

Preparation:
Mix chives, pepper and cheese. Heat gently cheese in the oven or microwave (about half a  the microwave). Decorate the surface with honey (not too much) and serve, possibly on warm toasted bread (if you use the oven to heat the cheese you might as well use it for bread).
My recipe is directly inspired by that of Jenny Hobick, except that she doesn't mix the ingredients and she uses thyme instead chives, as well as to spread garlic on her croutons.
I have found another interesting recipe of medieval inspiration, very similar to that of Jenny, which, however, involves the use of wholemeal bread and the addition of nuts, as well as the preparation of the entire crouton in the oven rather than of bread and sauce separately.
In any case, the combination of goat cheese, herbs and honey is definitely a winner and I intend to do further experiments.
