Gelati day 3: Genova

The third day was marked by bad luck with transportations too as we got lost looking for a parking lot in Genoa.
On the other hand we managed our shifts much better and we girls spent the morning visiting the city. The Commenda di Pre is close to the port and the narrow streets behind it are colorful and multiethnic, although quite ruined. Wnadering, we found in Via del Campo about which Fabrizio De Andrè sang, where we also found a small museum dedicated to the musician.

We saw some churches and palaces (the most beautiful in my opinion was that of St. Lawrence), but everything was closed except the baroque church of Jesus.

We also visited a small piece of the medieval city, and saw from outside the house of Christopher Columbus (one of the many...).

We saw from outside even the Della Tosse Theatre and visited the Luzzati Gardens, but the sky turned gray and we decided to return. Along the way we bought a some cheese and pesto focaccia. We got a bit lost, but we were lucky because we founf ourselves under a porch just when it started to hail!
Finally we managed to get back to the Gelati Fanzine Festival where we ate the pasta frittata made with the leftovers of the first day. We took over the boys and spent the rest of the day at the stand. About the afternoon there's little to tell apart that I was able to sell a comic in Italian to an Australian guy who didn't speak a word of it.

Thankfully everything went well during our return. Thanks to the combination of sun and rain, from the car windows we saw a rainbow and a beautiful sunset.
