Modifica veloce e reversibile per scarpe/Quick and reversible shoe alteration

Some time ago I bought a pair of very cheap and very classic loafers at the market with the idea of customizing them. I decided to make removable changes, because a pair of serious shoes can always be useful.
This tutorial applies to any pair of shoes with a free strap, that can be loafers, or Mary Jane or shoes with a strap around the ankle.

Difficulty: easy. Basic sewing or sewing machine utilization skills needed.
Materials: fabric, snaps, necessary to sew, ornaments as you please

Measure the lenght of the strap to cover. Add 1 cm to this measurement and use it as the basis for a square which will have as a height the thickness of the strap multiplied by 3 + 1.5 cm (sorry, I had the  step by step photos, but they were destroyed along with the old computer -.-). Cut a second square identical to the first.
Make edges of about half a centimeter to your square.
Sew the snap fasteners so that the two sides of the length can close together.
When closed the square have to form a roll with the good side out.

At this point you can add the "strap covers" on the shoes as they are or add decorations on the visible part (as I did with the leaf). In any case the snaps should remain on the top of the band so that they don't harm the foot.
Soon I will show another much more interesting shoe alteration made with this technique!
