Ho finito di vedere la prima stagione di The Musketeers, la serie televisiva inglese ispirata a I tre moschettieri di Dumas, creata da Ryan Hodges per la BBC e trasmessa a partire dal gennaio 2014.
Da subito si notano parecchie differenze con il libro, anzi, lasciatelo proprio perdere, il libro. I personaggi dell'originale sono solo lo spunto di partenza per costruire qualcosa di completamente diverso. Come fan sfegatata di Dumas mi viene un po'da piangere, ma capisco che ormai I tre moschettieri sono stati sfruttati anche troppo, per fare qualcosa di interessante ormai conviene fare qualcosa di nuovo. Il problema è che qui, oltre ad aggiungere tutta una serie di avvenimenti che nei libri non c'erano, sono state tagliate parti parti particolarmente belle o interessanti dell'originale, un vero peccato.
Le puntate sono strutturate come in un telefilm poliziesco: a inizio puntata succede qualcosa che i moschettieri devono risolvere entro fine puntata, con piani astuti (completamente assurdi, ma funzionano sempre) o botte da orbi. Qui i protagonisti, per quanto possano essere stupidi, vincono sempre, e il fantastico cardinale Richelieu (interpretato da Peter Capaldi, dodicesimo dottore di Doctor Who), per quanto possa essere intelligente, perde in maniera ridicola.
Insomma, a partire dalla sigla è una truzzata, ma una truzzata in fin dei conti simpatica, piena di figoni spaventosi, con una bella ambientazione (il tutto è girato a Praga), e stupendi costumi (assolutamente non accurati storicamente). Se riuscite a non pensare all'originale potete vederlo divertendovi.

The problem here is that, in addition to adding a whole series of events that weren't in the books, particularly beautiful or interesting parts of the original were cut, a real shame.
The episodes are structured like a detective drama series: at the beginning of the episode happens something that the musketeers must resolve before the end of the episode, with cunning plans (completely absurd, but they always work) or a free for all. Here the protagonists, how stupid they may be, always win , and the great Cardinal Richelieu (played by Peter Capaldi, twelfth Doctor of Doctor Who ), no matter how intelligent, loose in a ridiculous way.
In short, since the theme is a tacky series, but ultimately a pleasing one, full of hot guys, with a beautiful setting (the whole thing is shot in Prague) , and beautiful (absolutely not historically accurate) costumes. If you can avoid thinking about the original you can watch it and have fun.
