I guess you know Sophie Kinsella , a London writer specialized in chick lit novels (light novels aimed primarily at young, single and and working women that despite having common elements with romance tend to be humorous), most famous for her "The Confessions Of A Shopaholic", which was also made into a movie.
I admit I was pregjudiced towards her, then I was given "Twenties Girl" and from there on I became passionate about her books and I've read several others. In fact, on the opposite of what I expected, she writes well and her stories are fun and have a good rhythm. Her novels are light, but not stupid and not boring at all. The quality, however, is not the always excellent so, also for this reason, I decided to review here brieflywhat I've read by her.
Let's start from the most famous ,"The Confessions Of A Shopaholic", which is about a journalist with serious problems of shopalcholism. It was one of her books that I liked less because I thought the addiction to shopping protagonist was excessive. I suppose it's realistic, it made her nasty to me. For the rest, however, is brilliant and rather well written.

"Twenties Girl" so far is my favorite novel by Kinsella. It tells about Lara, a girl in crisis still in love with her ex to the point of persecuting him, who at the funeral of a great aunt sees the ghost of a girl who looks to have come out from the twenties.
The surreal elements of the plot in contrast make somewhat more likely the chick lit scheme. There are a number of nice comic scenes and I found it very interesting the parts about the style of life of a twenties girl.

"The Gatecrasher" so far is the worst book by this author I've read, perhaps because it is one of the first. The idea is not bad and it is not badly written, but many characters are still too stereotypical, the plot is not as bright as in other novels and especially it lacks the brilliant humor that characterizes the next ones. But there is the most evil and most on the ball protagonist of them all.
The plot follows Fleur, a beautiful con artist who haunts funerals to seduce and rob wealthy widowers.

I found "Remember Me?" very nice, with the only flaw of having a little too clumsy and moaning  protagonist. It uses a classic trick, amnesia : the protagonist after an accident forgets three years of her life, in which she has apparently undergone a radical change. From ugly duckling with a meaningless job and a terrible boyfriend she has turned into a beautiful woman with a handsome husband and a good job, but she has no idea how she got there

"I've Got Your Number" as far as I'm concerned is at a medium level, it's nice and flows well, but I was not particularly impressed by it. It tells about Poppy, a physical therapist who is getting married. Not only she loses her precious engagement ring, but also is robbed of her phone. So, instinctively, she picks up a cell phone found in the trash, but starts to receive messages from the rightful owner who does not appreciate the theft.

"Wedding Night" is very cute! It's about two sisters: Fliss , divorced mother and overprotective towards her younger sister, and Lottie, a dreamer who can not wait to get married. The longawaited marriage proposal of Lottie's boyfriend ends up in nothing and Fliss is afraid that her sister reaction will be to do something very stupid. When her fears come true she tries to save her.
This story alternates between the point of view of the two sisters making their relationship the real heart of the book, to the detriment of boyfriends, husbands and various love affairs (which are still there), an idea that I liked very much.
