Swap party: com'è stato e cosa ho ottenuto - how it was and what I got

Oggi finalmente ho fatto lo swap party che sognavo di fare da un annetto. E' andato benissimo!!! *ω* E' stato bello fare un incontro di sole donne con le mie amiche, ridere e chiacchierare e abbuffarci di schifezze! E il lato swap è andato benissimo: ho dato via un sacco di vestiti, riuscendo finalmente a liberarmi di cose che non mi sentivo di dare a persone senza volto, e ho ricevuto un sacco di cose carine!!! E se per caso in seguito non fossi più convinta di quello che ho avuto potrò dare via le cose che non mi piacciono più senza sensi di colpa, tanto non ho pagato niente per averle ed è una possibilità implicita nella formula dello swap party.

Today finally we had the swap party I dreamt about for a while. It was fantastic!!! *ω* I had a lot of fun having a women only event with my friends, laughing, chatting and eating junk food! And the swap side of the party went really well: I gave away a lot of clothes I didn't want to give to a faceless stranger, and I got a lot of beautiful clothes!!! And if I ever will got tired of them I'll give them away without feeling guilty, because I didn't pay for them and it's implicit in the swap party's formula.

Here is some of the junk food we ate. My friend A. made a chocolate salami (I dont'know the name in english) and my friend Y. took chocolate biscuits.


Visto che fuori faceva freddo e pioveva il party è diventato un tea party, in modo da rinfrancarci con una bevanda calda (anche se non sono convinta che ai veri tea party si mangino patatine con il the...XD)
It rained and it was cold so the party became a tea party. A hot drink is so reassuring! I'm not convinced is ok to eat chips at serious tea parties, though XD!

Come ci siamo organizzate con gli scambi? A turno ognuna di noi ha tirato fuori dai suoi sacchetti una cosa da scambiare e le persone a cui interessava hanno alzato la mano. Se più di una persona era seriamente interessata al vestito in questione, veniva messo in zona prova. Finiti tutti i vestiti sono stati messi sul tavolo gioielli e oggettistica varia. Dopodichè abbiamo proceduto a provare le cose contese. Se non piacevano indosso o non stavano a una delle persone, la contesa era risolta, se no qualcuno doveva cedere.
Poi abbiamo provato (almeno io) anche la roba non contesa per vedere se stava e come stava.
Le cose avanzate sono state messe in appositi sacchettoni da consegnare a qualche associazione di carità dopo opportune perlustrazioni da parte di mamme, sorelle, zie e chi capita.

How did we arrange the exchanges? We sat in a circle and showed a piece of clothing in turns. If someone was interested she said it. If more then one person was interested in a piece of clothing it was put aside to be tried on later.
When we finished with the clothing we passed to jewelery, bags and various objects. After that we tried on the challenged clothes. If they fit only one person the problem was solved. If not someone had to surrender.
Last of all we tried on the not challenged clothes to discard the one that didn't fit or that fit badly.
The discarded things were put in bags that will be given to charity, after moms, sistes, uncles and who wants delve in them.

Per quanto riguarda i vestiti che ho ottenuto sono particolarmente contenta di avere dato via un paio di jeans a vita troppo bassa che avevo acquistato agli scorsi saldi e di aver ottenuto un paio di jeans che mi va perfettamente! Per fortuna la mia amica Yuki ha la mia stessa taglia di pantaloni, ne ho presi un sacco di suoi *_*
Per fortuna il livello di uscite ha superato quello delle entrate, così ci ho guadagnato anche in spazio :P

Regarding my swaps I'm particularly happy to have swapped (too) low-rise pants I bought at the last sales with normal rise pants that fit me perfectly! Fortunately my friend Yuki has my same trousers size, I got a lot of her trousers *_*
And fortunately my exits were more than my entries, so I earned space too :P
