What We Do in the Shadows

Consigliatissimo.

"What We Do in the Shadows" is a 2014 New Zealand film that won the best screenplay award at the Turin Film Festival. It was written and directed by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi who also play two of the protagonists.
It's a mockumentary about vampires. The protagonists are Viago, Vladislav, Deacon and Petyr, four vampires of very different age and personalities, inspired by the various stereotypes about the creatures of the night. The four vampires share the same apartment with the classic roommate problems, in a vampiric version. To these are added the difficulties of being born in another time, both practical (if not my grandmother already doesn't know how to use a computer, imagine someone born in the '700), and intellectual.
The film is a succession of hilarious scenes, one after the other. But it isn't just a bunch of situations, there is a real plot, centered mainly on the secondary characters, which contains even a few deep moments.
It's a vision also suitable for people like me who have problems with splatter scenes as there are some very violent scenes, but so absurd that they don't cause any fear. The special effects are a bit wonky, but not enough to be bothersome.

I found it very funny, it has already become one of my Halloween classics. Highly recommended.
