Botanicula

Botanicula is a point and click game developed in 2012 by Amanita Design for Mircrosoft, Mac and Linux.
The game follows the adventures of five characters with the appearance of vegetables(Mr. Lantern, Mr. Twig, Mr. Poppy Head, Mr. Feather e Mrs. Mushroom) on a mission to save the last seed of the tree on which they live from the evil parasites that have invaded it. The actual game is to explore the environment, collect items and solve pussle (with a logic not always immediately understandable).
My opinion as a cartoonist is that the artistic part of the game is really beautifil, the characters are well defined within the limits of their poor communication skills, the backgrounds are fairy like, ethereal and delicate. The combination with the sound is phenomenal, the music is very nice and the verses of the characters are especially adorable.
My judgment as a noob about the playability of Botanicula is that it is also suitable for a beginner because the actions that you can perform are limited and most of the solutions of the games are not hard to guess (although with the progress of the game they became more complicated ), on the other hand it can be frustrating, because to solve the puzzle you may have to explore quite large parts of the world passing several times from the same point. It can be played fairly quickly (depending on how quickly you solve the puzzles) and I think it is suitable for all ages, including children. I think it's also a very mori game.
The part of the game itself isn't anything really special, but I think it's worth playing Botanicula just for the graphics and sound. It's worth to buy it also because, despite it costs little, a percentage of the profits derived from this game goes to World Land Trust to protect the rainforest.
Amanita Design has also created Machinarium, that I, the Hairy Half and my friends have bought and we will play soon, and I'll review as soon as I finish it.

Sembra molto carino :D
