Inside out

Inside Out is a 2015 3D animated film by Disney Pixar.
Tis is the plot: Riley, an eleven years old U.S.A. girl, is forced to move from Minnesota to San Francisco and is quite distressed. The story is seen from the inside of her mind, where personified emotions (Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger and Disgust) handle her emotional life through a kind of console. Because of an accident, Joy and Sadness are forced to embark on a journey into the surreal world of Riley's mind.
The first trailer released was really funny and I could not wait to watch this movie. I watched it on the plane, before the Italian release and I am glad not to have paid the movie ticket. The perspective from which the story is told is certainly original, but the developement is not so good as it could have been, because it focuses more on Joy and Sadness' journey than on the interaction between the "little men in the brain" and the outside world. It's certainly nice and well done, but not up to other Pixar movies such as Up or WALL-E.

I almost went to see this when I first arrived in Osaka (then it turned out I'd bought a ticket to the Japanese language version, and had to get a refund...)!

Actually, Joy looks really annoying, ugh. I don't like her character design at *all*...

@Rhiannon: too bad for the mess, but maybe it was for the best. Joy's character design doesn't displease me, is her character that does XD
