Mordor

Today it's a month before the release of the last film of The Hobbit trilogy in Italy! You may think I'm crazy to be so excited, considering that I do not think the first two films are absolute masterpieces, but for me and my friends it has become an important annual event: we all go to see the new film in IMAX paying it too much, we also occasionally eat out and usually take the opportunity to exchange Christmas gifts.
And as I liked the first movies, I'm pretty sure I will enjoy the third too and I'm also very curious to see how Peter Jackson will be able to fill three hours of film and how he will handle the characters and situations he invented out of nothing.
And I so nerd to wait for the release of all films to buy the DVDs in order to directly get the extended edition box with all three of them (oh yes, and I already plan a marathon).
To prepare for the event I decided to make a Tolkien themed necklace: I printed a map of the world in which the story is set and I cut out the part of Mordor to embed it in a locket (because, let's face it, bad guys are cool). Before you covering it with a transparent cabochon though, I dusted it with bronze eye shadow to give it a more polished and antiqued finish.

Here is the final result!
I now have (in addition to the books and movies), the One Ring, a necklace with a map of Mordor, an elven brooch in the shape of a leaf and a Hobbit cookbook, I would say that I'm ready to leave for Mount Doom!

Hee hee, I finally watched the first film! I loved it, but it's kind of terrible XD Somehow I'm really excited to go see the last one at the cinema, though! We will also eat out and make a party of that day XDD

@Rihannon: I think it too XD
Me too! What an awesome plan!

@Acalia: idem, suona sinistramente realistico XD
