Il labirinto del fauno/Pan's Labyrinth

Ieri sera in tivvì ho finalmente visto Il labirinto del fauno, di cui mi avevano parlato molto bene. E'anche un film che ha vinto un sacco di premi.
Io sapevo che era un ambientato nel 1944 durante la guerra civile spagnola, quando Franco aveva già vinto, ma pensavo prevalesse il lato fantasy in stile Narnia (anche quello è ambientato durante la guerra). Invece la raffigurazione della guerra è assolutamente prevalente e anzi molto molto cruda. Non è assolutamente un film per bambini e concordo perfettamente con il divieto ai minori dei 14 anni.
Il film è una denuncia durissima contro il franchismo.

Yesterday night I finally saw Pan's Labyrinth at the tv, that I was told was a really good film. It also won a lot of awards.
I knew it was settled in 1944 during spanish civil war, when Franco already won, but I tought the fantasy side of the story would prevail, like in Narnia that is also settled during the war. Instead the war depiction absolutely prevails and it's really violent. It certainly isn't a film for children and I perfectly agree with the 14 years old limit it has in my country.
This film is a really strong denunciation of the Franquist period.



Il fatto che la vicenda sia inquadrata principalemente dal punto di vista di una bambina che crede nella magia non rende la vicenda affatto più dolce, anzi.
Perfino le parti fantasy fanno paura. Le fate sono sostanzialmente insettacci e il fauno è tutt'altro che rassicurante. E questi sono ancora i buoni!
Direi che è un film molto bello, ma come può esserlo "il pianista" di Polanski, ovvero come un pugno nello stomaco, salutare, ma non piacevole

The fact that the story is mainly seen by the point of wiew of a child who believes in magic doesn't soften the film at all, to the contrary.
Even the fantasy parts are scary. The fairies are basically big insects and the faun is the opposite of reassuring. And those are the good ones!
It's a really good film, but like it is Polanski's "the pianist", a puch in the stomach, healty but not pleasant.
