Fallen

"Fallen" is a 2016 film directed by Scott Hicks, based on the novel of the same name written by Lauren Kate in 2009.
The seventeen-year Lucinda Price, who is plagued by mysterious visions from her childhood, as a result of a legal judgment is locked in Sword & Cross, a kind of cross between a reformatory and an elite school.
There she meets two handsome boys, of course a cold blond one and a dark haired "bad boy" one. The dark haired one soon starts to show interest towards her, but Lucinda feels strangely attracted to the blond one. Meanwhile she thinks how and who to choose Lucinda makes out whith the available one. But that's not all as simple as it seems: in fact the teenage dilemma is part of a divine plan and Sword & Cross is not what it seems.
But "Fallen" is exactly what it seems: a stupid romantic movie with the classic paranormal triangle, the classic protagonist with whom everyone fall in love, the classic bad boy and the classic ugly and unlucky best friend of the protagonist.
The type of paranormal would have been interesting if it were not for the insistence on the necessity of baptism (this dislike is totally personal, due to the too many people who tried to convert me). Even the criminal protagonist would have been interesting if it were not, of course, that she isn't really a criminal.
In short, this film is not even interesting enough to recommend it as stupid entertainment.

Thank you! I fear this one irritated me with the baptism thing a bit too much... ^^'
