Lemon skirt 2.0

For the wedding of my friend who got married on Saturday in London I decided to print myself a particular dress. It had to be white and blue as Asian ceramics, to symbolize the future husband who was born in Taiwan, and with a lemon print, to symbolize my friend who is from Sicilia.
Beyond the symbolism, I also wanted a new lemons skirt to replace the one I made 6 years ago and restyled two years ago, that was a highlight of my wardrobe, but that I don't wear anymore.
I decided to make the dress in two pieces to have something more versatile, so I bought a white cotton top and a white cotton skirt by Promod at the market for a total of 6€. As fabric colour I used the intense blue by Cromafix (which is a brand that I find excellent), while I made the lemon stamps myself as usual.

Mi piace moltissimo, fa pensare all'estate!

After an intense afternoon of printing this is the result. I really love it, it makes me think of summer!
Too much to tell the truth: the friend who was going to get married warned me that dressed like this in London I would have died because of the cold and a couple of friends (of those who can tell me unpleasant truths without offending me) told me that, though nice, for a wedding it was an outfit a bit too "seaside-like".
So in the end I went to the wedding with a completely different outfit, but I'm looking forward to wearing my creations, and with the infernal heat of the last few days I will succeed soon!
