Tag: film

Proprio no.
Thriller: Inception (vale come thriller?

On Fiona's blog I found a very nice tag regarding favorite films divided by gender. Here are mine (I  surely forgot something and I' definitely suffered in choosing between so many films I like, even if I cheated to write more ^^ '):Science Fiction: Star Wars! The original trilogy.

Drama: Suckerpunch, that is also an action and deliberately trashy film. I think it's done well, entrataining to watch and that it has a really strong message.Comedy: Amelie. A very delicate film that make the public appreciate the little things that make life worth living.
Romance: Anastasia
Comic: the entire first Woody Allen with Love and War at the top. But I must also mention Don Camillo and Peppone, Frankenstein Junior (along with many other Mel Brooks films), and with a bit of shame, Zohan. It 's stupid and vulgar, but I laugh all the time every time.
Action: Sin City. It 's my favorite movie ever. Noir, violence, beautiful music, great rhythm, really hard stories. I love the black and white with splashes of color, I love the rhythm, stories and music. Every time I watch it I feel good. It's taken from the homonymous series of comics by Frank Miller, but I think the film is much better. Let's face it, Frankie couldn't draw so well, everything was in the ink.
Cartoons: The Road to El Dorado. Absolutely. Great music (well, it's Elton John!), funny story and  pre-Columbian setting, and then there are most handsome guys of all Western animation (only Dimitri of Anastasia and Flynn Ryder of Rapunzel can compete).
Western: Kill Bill. It's quite western, especially towards the end, I'm totally
not trying to cheat. Not at all.

Thriller: Inception (does it counts as thriller? Sure enough there is suspense and there are criminals). Perhaps Invitation to dinner with crime is most suitable.
Horror: Coraline. Ok, it's a cartoon and most people won't find it so scary, but I am very sensitive and that eye-button thing... brr! Plus I don't have the culture to respond in a more accomplished  way because I avoid horror movies with all my might.
History: Stage Beauty. History of the passage in England's 600 from male actors that played the female roles to female roles recited by women. There is the question of gender, there is love, it's realized very well and the protagonist is handsome. Special mention for Annaud's Quest for Fire, but it's  more prehistoric than historic.
War: Train de Vie, a film in which the Jews of a village, to escape the nazi deportation make a fake deportation train. It's dramatic but you laugh all the time.
Erotic: I honestly don't know, because erotic film have two main evaluation criteria, the exciting and the artistic one, which can often be in conflict. I find Almodovar's films really sexy and for the most part also of great artistic value. Maybe the ones I found more sexy are Matador and Live Flesh though my favorites are others (The dress leather, Bad Education, All About My Mother, Talk to Her)
Fantasy: I love fantasy, but it is the category I had created more problems, with since it gathers together very different film and because the film versions of fantasy books tends quickly to grossiness (a bit like the videos of metal music). Hook? Howl? The Return of the King? Mah.
Pirates (a category added by me): singing behind screens, the story of a Chinese pirate woman told in a game of mirrors with theater.

@Rei: ma daaai che figata!
