The Time Traveller's Guide to Medieval England: A Handbook for Visitors to the Fourteenth Century (Ian Mortimer)

"The Time Traveller's Guide to Medieval England: A Handbook for Visitors to the Fourteenth Century" è un libro del 2009 scritto dallo storico inglese Ian Mortimer.
In questo stile Mortimer ha scritto anche "The Time Traveller's Guide to Elizabethan England: a Handbook for Visitors to the Sixteenth Century", del 2014, e "The Time Traveller's Guide to Restoration Britain: Life in the Age of Samuel Pepys, Isaac Newton and The Great Fire of London", del 2017.

"The Time Traveler's Guide to Medieval England: A Handbook for the Fourteenth Century" is a 2009 book written by the English historian Ian Mortimer. It is a history essay, but it is written as if it were a tour guide. Mortimer's idea is to consider history not as something, no longer understandable, mummified in a museum but a living period.
In this style Mortimer in 2014 also wrote "The Time Traveler's Guide to Elizabethan England: a Handbook for Visitors to the Sixteenth Century", and in 2017 "The Time Traveler's Guide to Restoration Britain: Life in the Age of Samuel Pepys, Isaac Newton and The Great Fire of London ".
It is divided into chapters on the style of tourist guides: "what to see", "what to eat"...
I found it a very interesting book, in particular the parts about women and clothing, although I had a bit of trouble with the parts that I found less interesting.
In any case I would like to try to read the two following  guides.
