Young & Hungry è una sitcom U.S.A. del 2014 creata da David Holden. Per ora è costituita da una sola serie da 10 episodi di 22 minuti ciascuno.
E' liberamente ispirata alla vita della food blogger Gabi Moskowitz, anche se ricorda moltissimo altre sitcom come La tata.
Racconta la storia di Gabi, food blogger squattrinata che contro ogni possibilità viene assunta come cuoca personale dal giovane e aitante imprenditore miliardario Josh. Gli altri personaggi rilevanti della serie sono Elliot e Yolanda, rispettivamente addetto stampa e governante di Josh, che di volta in volta ostacolano o aiutano la protagonista, Sofia, coinquilina e migliore amica di Gabi e Caroline, la superficiale e bellissima fidanzata di Josh.
La storia è banalotta, si vede poco cibo e zero attività di blogging, l'umorismo è carino, ma niente di speciale. Non scriverei nemmeno un post a riguardo, non fosse che c'è qualcosa in questo telefilm che mette di buon umore: sarà per i colori saturi, l'insensato ottimismo della protagonista o l'energia positiva che sembra emanare.
Sicuramente non è niente di imperdibile, però se l'idea vi piace e cercate un telefilm corto e leggero potreste provarlo.

It's loosely based on the life of the food blogger Gabi Moskowitz, although it resembles a lot other sitcoms like The Nanny.
It tells the story of Gabi, penniless food blogger who, against the odds, is hired as the personal chef of the handsome young billionaire entrepreneur Josh. The other relevant characters in the series are Elliot and Yolanda, respectively Josh's press secretary and housekeeper, who in turn hinder or help the protagonist, Sofia, Gabi's roommate and best friend and Caroline, Josh's superficial and beautiful girlfriend.
The story is quite banal, it shows little food and zero blogging activity, the humor is nice, but nothing special. I wouldn't even bother writing a post about it, if it weren't for a something in this show that puts me in a good mood: it may be for the saturated colors, the foolish optimism of the protagonist or the positive energy that it seems to emanate.
Surely it's nothing notto be missed, but if you like the idea and are looking for a short and light show, you might try it.
