Mori at Pimkie

In autunno e inverno è facile trovare aggiunte ad un guardaroba mori anche nei negozi mainstream (una sciarpa, un cappello, un cardigan...), la stagione davvero difficile è l'estate.

Rispetto ad H&M, Pimkie ha prezzi più alti (anche se non arriva a certi prezzi assurdi a cui arriva la catena svedese), ma offre anche capi particolarmente carini adatti ad un guardaroba mori, fra cui spicca un gran numero di camicette (di cui mostro solo 4 varianti). Fra le scarpe ho incluso anche dei modelli con forma adatta al mori, ma suola a zeppa trendy, perché trovo carino mixare le tendenze più carine del momento in un altro stile.

Qui vi mostro i capi mori che ho trovato in ordine crescente di prezzo.

In autumn and winter it is easy to find additions to a mori wardrobe even in the mainstream stores (a scarf, a hat, a cardigan...), the difficult season is summer.

Compared to H&M, Pimkie has higher prices (even if it doesn't have some absurd prices that the Swedish chain has), but also offers particularly nice pieces fit for a mori wardrobe, among which a large number of blouses (of which I'll show only 4 variants). Among the shoes I also included the models with a shape suitable for mori, but trendy wedge sole, because I find nice to mix the prettier trends of the moment with another style.

No sew tee alteration

Un post creativo dopo tanto tempo! Nell'ultimo mese ho avuto un po'un blocco: da una parte non ho avuto molto tempo, dall'altra, anche nei momenti in cui avevo tempo, non sapevo cosa fare. Per fortuna al momento la vena creativa pare essere tornata.

Questo progetto parte da una maglietta normalissima, comprata a 1€ al mercato perché qualcosa da una maglietta si tira sempre fuori.

Questo progetto è semplicissimo, si realizza in pochi minuti utilizzando solo un paio di forbici.

A creative post after so long ! In the last month I've had a sort of block: on the one hand I didn't had much time, on the other, even in the moments when I had time, I did not know what to make. Fortunately, at the moment my creativity seems to have returned.

This project starts from a normal t-shirt, bought for 1€ at the market because I can always make something with a tee.

This project is very simple, it can be done in few minutes using only a pair of scissors.

Per prima cosa ho semplicemente tagliato le maniche a frange di larghezza di circa 1 cm (perché il cotone tende ad arrotolarsi). Già questo espediente dà ad una maglietta un tocco western molto adatto all'estate. Sono tentata di usarlo anche su magliette con stampe.

First I simply cut the sleeves in fringes of about 1 cm wide (because cotton tends to roll). This device already gives to a T-shirt with a western touch very suitable for summer. I'm tempted to use it on T-shirts with prints.

Per il retrom, invece, ho deciso di arrischiarmi a fare una cosa un po'da ragazzina. Da qualche anno vanno di moda magliette con grossi ritagli sulla schiena a forma di ali piumate, teschi e quant'altro.

Visto che la mia maglietta era arancione, ho deciso di tagliarla come se fosse una zucca di halloween ^^

For the back instead I decided to risk and make something youngster style. From some years there is the trend of t-shirts with large cutouts on the back in the shape of feathered wings, skulls and more.

Given that my shirt was orange, I decided to cut it like a halloween pumpkin ^^

Ecco un po'di outfit che ho indossato al mare. Giusto per farvi capire che sbalzi di temperatura ci fossero. All'interno della stessa giornata, ma anche fra sole e ombra.

Here are some outfits that I wore at the sea. Just to let you know that there were great changes in temperature. Within the same day, but also between sun and shade.

Al mare/At the seaside

Sono tornata dai miei quattro giorni di vacanza al mare ^^ Ho tenuto spento il cellulare la maggior parte del tempo (tanto anche da acceso non prendeva quasi mai) e ho dimenticato il caricatore del computer, quindi ho staccato per davvero.
Il secondo giorno ha diluviato, ma ho tentato di spremere fino all'osso il tempo che avevo per fare tutte le cose che preferisco. Una specie di vacanza iperconcentrata.

I'm back from my four-day vacation at the beach ^^ I turned off the phone most of the time (but even turned on it did almost never connect) and I forgot the charger of the computer, so I unplugged for real.

On the second day it poured, but I tried to squeeze to the bone the time I had to do all the things that I prefer. A kind of concentrate holiday.

Ho perfino fatto un tuffo in mare, anche se l'acqua era ancora ghiacciata e ne sono uscita color peperone.

I even bathed in the sea, although the water was still ice cold and I came out bright red.

Mi sono consolata con un bagno con le bolle in casa, un lusso che non mi concedo quasi mai per non sprecare acqua (ma credo che per stavolta i cecchini del WWF lasceranno correre)

I consoled myself with a bubble bath, a luxury that I allow myself hardly ever not to waste water (but I think for this time WWF snipers will let go)

Fra pasta alle vongole, granita alla rosa e mandorla, fritto misto, gelato menta e violetta, pansotti al sugo di noci, trofie al pesto e tonnellate di focaccia, sono riuscita a mangiare tutti i miei cibi preferiti e anche di più.

Il primo giorno sono anche venuti a trovarci degli amici che hanno portato dei macaroon! In genere non mi piacciono molto, ma quelli che hanno portato loro erano davvero buoni.

Among clam spaghetti, rose and almond slush, fried fish, mint and violet ice cream, pansotti with walnut sauce, pesto trofie and tons of focaccia, I managed to eat all my favorite foods and even more.

The first day also came to visit some friends who brought macaroons! In general I do not like them much, but those were really good.

Dopo tanto shopping più frivolo ho deciso che non sarebbe stato un libro a mandarmi in rovina, così ho comprato "L'ultima avventura del pirata Long John Silver" di Björn Larsson, che desideravo tantissimo perché mi era piaciuto da matti "La vera storia del pirata Long John Silver" dello stesso autore (trovate la mia recensione qui).

Me lo sono divorato in spiaggia, per cui entro breve lo recensirò.

After much more frivolous shopping I decided that it wouldn't be a book to ruin me, so I bought "The last adventure of the pirate Long John Silver" by Björn Larsson, that I really wanted because I loved "Long John Silver " by the same author (you can find my review here).

I ate it up at the beach, so I'll review it soon.

Una delle cose più belle della vacanza però è stata la visita al parco della Marchesa ad Arenzano, già molto bello di suo, dove ho visto (e inseguito, con suo grande terrore) un coniglietto davvero cicciosino e adorabile.

One of the best things about the holiday , however, was the visit to the Marquise park in Arenzano, that is already very nice by itself, where I have seen (and chased, with his great terror) a chubby and adorable bunny.

Gipsy witch

Mi sono decisa a sperimentare lo smalto bordeaux della Odille che avevo preso al mercato mesi fa. A livello di velocità di asciugatura e soprattutto di tenuta mi è parso piuttosto buono, invece purtroppo la coprenza è scarsa, ci vogliono almeno due passate.

I decided to experiment with the burgundy nail polish by Odille that I had bought at the market months ago. In terms of speed of drying and especially of sealing it seems pretty good, however unfortunately the coverage is poor, it takes at least two coats.

Il giorno in cui mi sono vestita così le mie bellissime scarpe con i lacci da ballerina mi hanno lasciato a piedi, letteralmente: mi si è staccata una suola. Per fortuna ero quasi a casa.

The day when I wore this outfit, my beautiful shoes with ballerina laces left me: a sole fell off. Luckily I was almost at home.

Truccare la crema/Soup up your cream

Da qualche anno è sparita dai supermercati la mia crema idratante preferita, la Natural Honey per pelli molto secche, che costava poco e funzionava benissimo. Elaborato il lutto, sono partita alla ricerca di una crema con cui sostituirla. Per ora la migliore che ho trovato è la crema all'iris dell' Erbolario, che mi ha regalato la mia amica Ade e ha un profumo stupendo. L'unico problema è che costa tantissimo e quindi non posso permettermi di ricomprarla tutte le volte.

La peggiore che ho trovato finora è la Nivea, che costa poco, ma è pesante, unta e non idrata bene. E ovviamente mia madre me l'ha comprata per sbaglio. Odiando gli sprechi, ho deciso di usarla comunque, ma la mia estetista mi ha dato un suggerimento: aggiungerci qualche goccia di olio di mandorla.

Ci ho provato, mescolandola in un barattolo che avevo tenuto, e la crema ha completamente cambiato consistenza, diventando subito più leggera, più facile da spalmare e più veloce da assorbire. In più adesso funziona benissimo!
La mia estetista è un genio!!!
Questa soluzione può aiutarvi a salvare delle creme che funzionano poco, o per potenziare creme economiche senza bisogno di svenarvi a comprarne di costose. L'olio di mandorle costa sui 7-8€ (si trova anche al supermercato), ma per potenziare una crema ne bastano poche gocce (io per circa un etto di crema ne ho usate 4), quindi si va a risparmiare sul lungo periodo.

A few years ago disappeared from the supermarkets my favorite moisturizer, the Natural Honey one for very dry skin, which was cheap and worked great. So I started looking for a cream with which to replace it. For now, the best I have found is the  iris cream by Erbolario, given to me by my friend Ade, that has a wonderful scent. The only problem is that it costs a lot so I can not afford to buy it every time.

The worst that I've found so far is the Nivea one, which is cheap, but it is heavy, greasy and doesn't moisturize well. And of course, my mother bought it for me. Hating wastes, I decided to use it anyway, but my beautician gave me a tip: adding to it some drops of almond oil.

I tried mixing it in a jar that I kept, and the cream completely changed texture, and became lighter, easy to spread and faster to absorb. In addition now it works great!

My beautician is a genius!!!

This solution can help you save creams that don't  work well or to strengthen economic creams avoinding to spend money on expensive ones. Almond oil costs about 7-8€, but to enhance a cream a few drops are enough (for about a pound of cream I used 4), then you got to save money in the long run.

Il mio Aprile via Instagram/My April via Instsgram

Questo mese non sono riuscita a frenare la mia dipendenza da Instagram (mi trovate come mentacongilio) e ho pubblicato molte più foto ^^' Stavolta però molte meno di fiori: la primavera è sempre bellissima, ma non è più una novità.

This month, I could not restrain my addiction to Instagram (you can find me as mentacongilio) and I posted a lot of photos ^^' This time, however, less of flowers: spring is always beautiful, but it is no longer a novelty.

Invece hanno fatto un grande ritorno le foto di cibo: ho fatto qualche bella uscita, per esempio cinese Kota Radja per gli 80 anni della mia prozia e all'Italian Noodles con la mia amica Bi, ho mangiato varie volte il gelato, fatto per la prima volta l'hummus, sperimentato vari piatti e in generale mi sono trattata bene. Mi sa che a maggio dovrò darmi una regolata, che la prova costume si avvicina XD

Instead, food photos made ​​a big comeback : I went out quite some times, for example at a great chinese restaurant for the 80 years of my great-aunt and at Italian Noodles with my friend Bi, I ate ice cream several times, made hummus for the first time, experimented with various dishes and generally treated myself. I guess I'll have to pay more attention to what I eat in May, bikini season approaches XD

Pasqua è andata bene: ho ricevuto uova di cioccolato e mangiato un sacco. Purtroppo il lunedì dell'angelo pioveva, per cui invece di stare all'aria aperta io e la Pelosa Metà abbiamo ripiegato su di una mostra su Leonardo da Vinci, seguita da un gelatone.

Easter went well: I received chocolate eggs and ate a lot. Unfortunately it rained on Monday, so instead of going outdoors, the Hairy half and I went to see an exhibition about Leonardo da Vinci, followed by a nice big icecream.

Il 25 aprile è stato l'unico giorno in cui sono riuscita a sfruttare il bel tempo: con il mio fidanzato e degli amici sono andata a visitare Consonno, una città abbandonata in provincia di Lecco.

April 25 was the only day in which I was able to take advantage of the nice weather: with my boyfriend and some friends, I went to visit Consonno, an abandoned city in the province of Lecco.

La grande novità del mese è che finalmente i lavori di casa sono alla svolta finale (o almeno spero!). Abbiamo terminato la nostra camera da letto, dipingendola di verde menta, rimontando l'armadio e spostando il letto e coperto con una pellicola opaca a motivi la metà inferiore delle portefinestre del salotto.

The big news this month is that finally the restoration works in my apartment are approaching the end (or at least I hope!). We finished our bedroom, painting it mint green, assembling the closet and moving the bed, and wecovered  half of the French doors in the living roomwith an opaque film on the reasons for the lower.

A livello creativo non ho combinato tantissimo, per scarsità di tempo e di idee che mi affascinassero, però qualcosa di carino ho fatto: qualche medaglione, una maglietta ispirata ai tarocchi, un paio di orecchini e una collana-boccetta.

At creative level I didn't do a lot, due to lack of time and ideas , but I did something nice anyway: a few medallion, a tarot cards inspired T-shirt, a pair of earrings and a bottle-necklace.

A livello di shopping non sono stata una santa: dopo il bellissimo vestito comprato il primo aprile sono tornata al mercato altre due volte, ho fatto qualche acquisto da Tiger e ho comprato dei cosmetici al supermercato.

In terms of shopping I was not a saint: after the beautiful dress bought on April 1st I returned to the market two more times, made a few purchases from Tiger and bought cosmetics at the supermarket.

Lavoratori di tutto il mondo, riposate!

Sono sempre più convinta che cercare di procurarsi un lavoro sia molto simile a cercare di procurarsi un fidanzato: in entrambi i casi si comincia guardandosi intorno per vedere se ci sono posizioni interessanti vacanti, ci si propone e, se c'è reciproco interesse, si combina un primo incontro a cui fa seguito l'attesa spasmodica di una telefonata.

Solo che al fidanzato, se si comporta male, puoi dare una lezione, al datore di lavoro no.

Per farla breve, per riprenderci dallo stress degli ultimi tempi io e la Pelosa Metà siamo andati al mare per il ponte (nonostante le previsioni di brutto tempo -.- Vedremo come andrà). E per disintossicarmi ho deciso di guardare la posta il meno possibile, quindi risponderò ai commenti e mi aggiornerò sui vostri blog al mio ritorno. Però vi ho lasciato dei post programmati per oggi e domani.

I am increasingly convinced that trying to get a job is a lot like trying to get a boyfriend: in both cases, you start looking around to see if there are vacant interesting positions, propose and, if there is mutual interest, you combine a first meeting followed by the agonizing wait for a phone call.

The difference is that if the boyfriend misbehaves, you can give him a lesson, while to the employer no. 

In short, to recover from the stress of the last times I and the Hairy Half went to the seaside for the long weekend (despite the bad weather forecasts -.- We'll see how it goes). And for the sake of stress detox I decided to read the mail as little as possible, so Iìll answer the comments and update on your blogs when I'll return. But I left scheduled post for today and tomorrow.
