The Outcasts/Le reiette

"The Outcasts" is a 2017 U.S.A. movie directed by Peter Hutchings.
It is the classical school comedy that sees the social outcasts of an American high school, in this case Jodi, who is a music nerd, who, along with her friend Mindi, a science nerd, is bullied by the most popular guys of the school, led by beautiful blond Whitney.
When Mindi's proposal of a truce fails, the two decide to overturn the school hierarchies.
The plot is really banal, the originality and likeableness of the film lays in the fact that the revolt actually succeeds and in the constant quotes of the nerd culture (even on the t-shirts worn by the cast).
Of course there is the classic moralist moment before the obvious conclusion, but it isn't too too annoying.
The narration has a good rhythm.
If you like the genre, it's a nice light film.
Among other things I loved the various pseudo-hipster outfits of the protagonist.
